Re: future
We will be driving old Tesla’s where the dead battery pack has been junked and a diesel bongo engine transplanted 😀. I know the fossil fuel era is coming to an end but the battery powered cars are using finite minerals dug out of the earth so it seems like we’ve not really done anything different an...

Re: Avoid or not?
But then you will probably never buy a bongo, there will be rot in almost all of them, to be fair you’re looking probably at a 19 year old vehicle which even if it had all the right services is still no guarantee of motoring bliss. at the end of the day if you pick it up for £4K usable for a year ge...

Re: new member
Also these pumps are responsible for the injection timing so they are reasonably complex to the point where they could be party to the problem unlike the common rail rotary pumps which purely just supply pressure

Re: new member
Easy tiger you’re leaping straight in to the deep end if it’s cheap parts wise to try another pump to be sure of problem why not try it I have a pump that was perfectly ok for the cost of postage and a beer I would happily mail it to you. Also is there any difference compression wise between hot and...

Re: Avoid or not?
I wouldn’t have thought it would be badly corroded or it would have failed mot but I guess you would need to get underneath it to have a good look so it might just need a couple of small sections cutting out shouldn’t be too much

Re: which Sprinter wheel arch
Get a reasonable second hand mig of eBay Facebook gumtree etc get a hobbyweld account for argon mix gas rather than the tiny bottles and a reactive face mask and you’re good to go putting arch on its pretty much spot welding. To start anyway. Once you’ve trimmed Down new arch panel and outlined it a...

Re: which Sprinter wheel arch
Put Mazda bongo arches as a search on eBay there’s quite a few. As far as inners rears go they are a pain especially drivers side as it’s such a stupid shape I had to do mine in about 6 pieces stitching it all together
