Re: Selling for parts

Thanks for the reply. That sounds very much like our experience. Lots of people being put off by advisories on MOTs and wanting something cheap that doesn't need any work. The rust is minimal. It's a patch on the drivers door frame, which I'm hoping to get some time on this weekend (my job keeps me ...

Re: Selling for parts

No, I'm not looking for a breaker to give me 5k. I've been trying to sell for 5k, but no one wants to even view it. Local bongo garage has several also unsold. Perhaps a local thing or wrong time of year.

I'm just after someone who might want to make me an offer for parts.

Re: Selling for parts

THanks. Yes, I should have said, side conversion, rock and roll seats, new fridge, hob, sink, gas, water, leisure battery, mains feed. The works. Only has 131k on the clock :( Honestly gutted that we need to look at scrapping it, we're not even asking that much for it (£5k). Any idea where I can get...

Selling for parts

We're trying to sell out beloved bongo however due to interest and time wasters we're getting nowhere and, as we need to move it, I'm now looking at selling for parts to a breaker. Such a shame as its absolutely fine (barring an issue with the earthing on the lights). How does one go about selling f...

Re: Lights cutting out

Thanks. Yes I did think about an earth issue this morning.

I should add that the full beam indicator on the dash never goes out. Even when the full beams are off the indicator light glows gently.

Will check the connectors, relay and follow back to the earth point.

Re: Lights cutting out

Thanks Geoff.

It's both lights at once though, left and right, main and full.

Lights cutting out

Hi all I've just taken the beast (1996, 2.5 diesel auto) out in the dark which I've not done for a month or so. The front headlights (full and main) suddenly started cutting out for 10 seconds or so before kicking back in. The side lights appear to stay on all the time. Started happening down a very...

Respray in the south

Hi all

Can anyone recommend a bongo friendly respray place in the south that can respray my bongo for me?

I'm in West Sussex.

Draining and filling coolant

Hi all Tomorrow my job is to drain the coolant and flush the heater matrix and refill the coolant. The coolant.pdf on this site refers to both the "filler cap" and the "reservoir filler cap". I'm assuming the reservoir filler cap relates to the coolant tank on the nearside corner...

Re: Fan control servo feels like me.

Disconnected the rod from the main servo arm and the arm moves as expected when you change modes.

With the rod attached it struggles mightily.

Could it be one of the vent flaps has gotten stuck, stopping the whole thing rotating?

Does anyone have a copy of the heater repair pdf that appears on page 1 of this thread?

Fan control servo feels like me.

Hi all I've noticed that the fan control servo isn't moving the control rods. You can see it try, but it never musters the power to actually get things moving. The window mode button does elicit a response but it takes about 30 seconds to generate the oompf. Clearly it's not the fuse, but is the ser...

Roof bars or racks

Does anyone know where I can get roof bars for the bongo? New Dawn are out of stock and don't have plans to have any more until next year. There is a guy making them on eBay but they aren't my favourite for various reasons. Any other sellers that anyone can think of? I'm happy with ones that go acro...
