Re: A slight twist to the "bleeding method"
Hello 👋 I am putting together one of these kits, luckily I work in a hose/hydraulics shop! The clear plastic hose attached to the bleed pipe- can anyone confirm the inside diameter is 10mm? I’ve got a good thick hose here that would do the job. It won’t kink so I was going to bend it around the hand...

Re: possible propshaft universal joint going
Have you checked your ATF for the right level/colour/smell?
That should be your first port of call
Mind and check it hot

Re: possible propshaft universal joint going
Hi,
When my rear prop died, it was the UJ that failed, it vibrated like a bugger over 20mph though!
My local garage removed the rear prop and sent it to Eurodriveshats to be fixed, in all they took £150 for the removal/repair/refit.
Been fine since...

Re: self bleed kits?
So... I’m thinking that, if the self bleed kit Pipe was removable at the bulkhead? I think it’s called? You could seesaw with the bleed pipe then plug it back into a bulkhead connector. Then you would have the best of both worlds wouldn’t you? You’ve removed any potential air locks and if you spring...

Re: Head gasket? Sniff test
Many thanks for all your replies, I went off camping for a few days there to cleanse the soul
I will order another test and fit both the coolant alarm and engine temp sensor while he is resting up just now, can’t do any harm

Re: Head gasket? Sniff test
Hi, Thank you for your replies, I was told it was a sniff test performed, it was a tube with black rubber stopper top and bottom so maybe it was a bock test? It’s liquid was dark.. It’s the right cap on rad and expansion tank. I may take it a run later but to be honest, I’m scared to run it in case ...

Hello,
Thank you for your reply, I was thinking of flushing my coolant and refill/rebeleed (which I have never done before ) and buying a kit of the internet to retest it...
I’m quite far from a garage (a knowledgeable Bongo one at least)
I’ve been avidly watching the YouTube bleed programs

Head gasket? Sniff test
Hi everyone, I’ve had my beloved van for nearly 5 years with no trouble at all, last year I sent it to BS for sills/arches/spray/rocker cover/slam panel/crossmember/new wings/welding rear quarters/tailgate and lots of other bits n bobs... It has never over heated, never lost coolant (when I’ve had a...
