Re: Temp gauge/heating/fan problems

Another concern that may be related is that when on the motorway if travelling say over 45 mph it doesn't seem to change gear, I feel the engine needs to as has high revs, I ease off the accelerator and try and get the revs down to 2,000 then it sits at about 55mph but it still feels like the engine...

Re: Temp gauge/heating/fan problems

UPDATE** Today I drove a few miles and my temp gauge started working and my heating was blowing hot air out, result! However, the 'drive' felt different and possibly a bit juddery? Thanks all. I have gone back to him and he's adamant, I will take it to my friend's garage and see if he can diagnose the issue then at least I know for sure. Thanks everyone :)

Re: Temp gauge/heating/fan problems

I told him I drove 50 miles and its didn't move and he said I would have to drive a lot further for it to move?? Does thi...

Rear seat rails removal

Hi, I have removed the rear seats and wish to remove the rails but can't get the pin out which keeps them in place? It seems to have a keep washer on? Tried bashing with hammer and no avail? Is there a technique or do I bash harder?? Thanks in advance

Re: Temp gauge/heating/fan problems

Yes, as the heating comes from the engine coolant, and if the thermostat is removed the engine never gets up to the right temperature! Its a "common" fix on the diesels to hide the fact that the engine is overheating :-( But it can also be just a stuck open thermostat with no bad intentio...

Temp gauge/heating/fan problems

Hi all, first post on here. I have bought a 2l Petrol Aero 2004 automatic as a fresh import and having a few issues and I am looking for some advice, please? 1. My temp gauge does not work, it sits far left and I can travel 100 miles up hills and nothing, then on very rare occasions, it will move to...
