Re: Wheels again
Ps you'll need to get the right wheel nuts for them, alloy ones are often tapered and steel ones aren't

Re: Wheels again
I went for some 16 inch CX3 wheels that were being sold locally. Only issue was they were 95 tyres all round but two of them needed replacing anyway so got 98 running on the back, no issues with them after a few months and certainly more grip than the ones before. https://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum...

Re: How much rust is too much rust?
Looking at the prices for Bongo's I think you'd be on a winner with a sorted engine and a full respray - that's got to be just as good as a fresh import and prices for those seem astronomical. Ours is a bit rough around the edges but solid - doesn't stop me thinkng eveyr so often how awesome it woul...

Re: Air con valve locations
Thanks both - was easy to locate both, not dificult to find once undone two clips on the air intake scoop. Of course when they pressure tested it it dropped a couple of bar pretty quickly. Money refunded though so can't complain, took them an hour of tests so not really a money maker. Heads up, ATS ...

Thanks Ian, I guess they'll need both ports to recharge so I'll take this info too!

Air con valve locations
Hi folks, have my Freda going in tomorrow morning for a regas, one of those free if it can't hold the pressure jobs, at ATS euromaster for about £35. Now I know they won't have the Bongo in their system but I've found the refrigerant and oil amounts on here. But is it obvious where the valves are fo...

Re: 3 kids 2 dogs - space?
by the way, echo g8dhe's thoughts on space, for some trips we might take the car as well to a) carry stuff and b) give options to spend day away from site without packing up everytime

Re: 3 kids 2 dogs - space?
We went for our first weekend recently and had 2 adults, 1 kid and 2 dogs. It is a squeeze for humans/dogs downstairs, we have a rear conversion, and they slept on our feet :D The bed is longer with front seats folded forward too (we filled the space with bags and pillows for sleeping) but I think y...

New alloys
Well, Can say that a set of 16" CX3 wheels fit nicely and some nice Bridgestone Turanzas all round (99 load rating) have made it quieter and grippier. The old steelies and hubcaps (top picture) are off to a good home this week.

Re: Get me some (wheel) nuts!
Actually, at risk of sounding very dumb, presumably I just google Cx3 wheel nuts rather than Bongo wheel nuts, right?

Get me some (wheel) nuts!
Hi folks, I've hopefully managed to get hold of set of Mazda CX3 alloys which are the same size fitment as rx8 so should be good for the Freda. However, currently have steel wheels and will need some alloy wheel nuts I believe to replace current steel ones. I'm guessing OEM ones will be expensive so...

Re: The Showroom, Clarence Place Pontypool
Have no experience with them but when looking they had lots of adverts listed but we were put off by the (admittedly small) sample size of google reviews which are all 1 star. Plus a search on here was enough to make me have second thoughts. But maybe others on here have had much more favourable int...
