Re: CENTRAL LOCKING FAULT

Finally got round to sorting. £150 for a mobile auto electrician repaired all of the wiring, replaced various strips and protective out casing and done. Hassle free no need for a new loom. Worth a punt!!!

Re: Protective van cover

We used a cover for our bongo last year, got it all cleaned and waxed and wanted to protect from tree sap. When we removed it, the paint work looks almost watermarked. It’s gradually fading but if anyone has any tips on getting rid I’m all ears!

We haven’t used the cover this year!

Flashing Hold Light, engine cut out bucking bronco ride of terror!

Hi We've had some issues with our V6. Over a few months, the engine cuts out (I think when approaching stop and gears shift) and last night we were heading south on the A1 and there was a loud thud, the van jerked almost like it was stalling out but the momentum kept it going. It did again and as I ...

Re: Bongo not running well (V6)

Oh V6 isn’t running well either. On way to a site yesterday and all power went, engine stopped and charger and oil lights came on. Restarted and stopped…had limp the last half mile to the campsite.

We’ve also just had the engine changed
Anyone any ideas???

Re: Cheapest oil seems fine...

 =D> Brilliant!

thanks for that - interpreting that this suggests two grades of oil but no difference what so ever in the rational....makes it easier I guess!

Re: V6 aircon burny smell

Oh cock indeed! Took mine this morning to be checked and have leaking cam seals and other such nastiness that comes with a large price tag. Once the under tray was removed it was clear that there was a bigger problem than anticipated. Have booked for new cam belt (although was done recently by previ...

Re: V6 aircon burny smell

Geoff - you called it lol! Small leak on drivers side . . . . can you remember how much it was to get repaired? With the Forte Seal additive, is it as simple as adding the tube to the oil tank or does it need additional work?

Re: CENTRAL LOCKING FAULT

Our central locking was temperamental too. Opened up the wiring loom to find someone has been in before..having tidied up their work and secured good links with the three effected wires the central locking is now just plain broken. Any suggestions?

Re: V6 aircon burny smell

That's not what you want to hear! The cam belt was replaced in September so thankfully that doesn't need doing which is one saving grace. Is there anything I can look out for that would be a tell tale sign that this is the case? Is it expensive to sort and what's the impact if we don't get i...

V6 aircon burny smell

Our V6 (as lovely as she is) has an interesting habit I'd welcome an opinion on if anyone is willing? When we have the heater on when driving and come to a stop there is a burning rubber smell coming through the vents, but only at a stop and once things have warmed through. Is this a belt that need ...

Awnings

Hi - we really like our easy camp awning but we find that the tunnel part never quite gets enough tension to remain water tight.....almost needs a curved insert. Anyone found a cunning way to deal with this? Thanks
