Okay, just been out to the van to photograph our pole. See pics. It goes into the hole on the right of the awning and then you turn it clockwise to wind it out. I hope that helps?

Re: Query about wind-out awning
That definitely doesn't look like ours. Looks more like a leg? Will find out later. Hope you're enjoying the van otherwise.

Re: Query about wind-out awning
Hi Sammy. That definitely looks like our awning. So you have the pole with the attachment on the end? After work I will go out and photograph ours and describe how it works. It just gets inserted and then you turn it but I can't remember which way

Re: leisure battery - connected but not working
Hi. Just to update the group - I bought a Enduroline leisure battery (EXV82) from Tayna on Thursday night and it turned up Saturday afternoon - great site. Charged it and fitted it and it powers the little sink/hob unit at the rear - a water pump and invertor. So that's good. Unfortunately I don't t...

Re: leisure battery - connected but not working
Thanks Geoff - that's good to know. I have seen several people recommend a particular leisure battery for the Bongo - I'll search the group and get that one.
Cheers guys

Re: leisure battery - connected but not working
Joking aside Bob, the wiring goes through the bulkhead by the steering wheel side rather than the glove box/passenger side

Re: leisure battery - connected but not working
Hi again Update on my leisure battery situation. A friend at work who has some experience in these matters had a look under the bonnet with his meter and discovered a couple of things. Firstly, the leisure battery only measures about 6v so clearly is not charged/healthy. He thought it was worth tryi...

Re: leisure battery - connected but not working
Thanks Geoff. I have just carefully tracked back from the LB and I can't see it goes through anything. In fact I said in my original post that it went into the fusebox but I don't think it does. It seems to go from right to left and meets up with the cables from the starter battery (pictured below) ...

Re: leisure battery - connected but not working
Hi Bob. The seller did say the battery was working as it had been used in their caravan but I'm not sure when. I guess checking to see whether the battery is flat is a sensible starting point. Thanks.

leisure battery - connected but not working
Hi Total newbie here. Just bought a Bongo (97 TD 2.5 automatic) and the seller said it has a leisure battery which they never used so they couldn't guarantee/comment on its use. We bought it on that understanding, but as it has a second battery under the bonnet and it is wired up in some way we'd ob...

hello from Dorchester
Hi New Bongo owner, just saying hello. I see a few Bongos around town - certainly noticing more now we have one. I have downloaded the list of recommended garages and pleased to see there are a few in Dorset. If anyone has some personal recommendations (from the list or otherwise) that would be good...

Re: Query about wind-out awning
The problem we had has been resolved (we were just being thick) so actually the make is not an issue!
