Glad you're fixed. 8)

Thanks. As a side note it turns out that the code wasn’t that important and that any 4x4 2.5TD auto box fits.

Re: BM715 Auto Box

As an update. I had my 4x4 auto box replaced by Autocraft of Cardiff. Absolutely top notch friendly service, arranged for the Bongo to be transported the 25 miles to their knowledgeable garage.
Much cheaper than my quote from Bongo Spares and no £450 transport fee.

Re: BM715 Auto Box

I’ve zero knowledge of automatic transmissions.
After doing a forum search, It seems refurbishment is the most expensive option, replacing with a 2nd hand unit seems the most wallet friendly option. Though a quote I received from BongoSpares of £825 plus £200 fitting seems excessive.

I’m looking for an Automatic Gearbox (with its’ Torque Converter) for a 1999 2.5TD AWD. Gearbox code: BM715.
I’m in the Np13 area of South Wales and also looking for any advice where to get a gearbox, who can fit it and how to get my van there! 😟

Go into Halfords with a measuring tape. That’s where I got mine.

Re: Another unidentified noise - my V6

Just thought I would update. So my Bongo V6 was recovered to A and S Motor Repairs in Caerphilly. I knew it would have to sit there for a couple of weeks because of their commitments and leave, but not a problem because of travel restrictions and lockdown. A full cam belt kit was fitted plus the wa...
