Re: Keeping warm without a diesel heater

Thanks Annie. I’m hoping my original guy will do it for me but I’ll keep this one on the list too

Re: Keeping warm without a diesel heater

Oh they’re great, aren’t they. I’ve also got a gas heater but it burns hotter than the sun so I only keep it for emergencies. I can’t wait for my first weekend away this year! Although I did just find I’ve got mould on my pop top canvas that has started to make tiny holes in it, so I’ve got to have ...

Re: Keeping warm without a diesel heater

Mostly in the bottom and I’m a solid two years in now and have only been cold on that very first night, when I didn’t really understand the importance of having a warm layer underneath and instead made the bed up with a sheet on the bottom! While my mother would have been proud of my housekeeping ...

Re: Keeping warm without a diesel heater

Thanks Hazzo! I’ve found just wrapping up and having the layers to add has been brilliant and I’ve never had an issue. I sleep better in the Bongo on cold nights than anywhere!

Fortnight in Ireland coming up

I'm a year into life with a Bongo and it has made me happier than I ever thought it could. Apart from the odd issue, which have all been easily solved (Alan and Roger at Fairview Garage in Cheltenham are genuinely the kindest and most honest pair I've come across and they don't rest till they've got ...

Re: reupholstery

Hi Brett - I've seen some lovely work from https://www.jomaupholstery.com. Her brother posted some great videos of his and his other half's conversion and the Joma seats looked fantastic, I looked into it from there and she's obviously really talented. Worth a look!

Keeping warm without a diesel heater

Happy new year everyone!

I'm finally picking up my fitted-out Bongo next weekend - looking forward to sharing some pics and properly joining your merry band.

I haven't had a heater fitted yet as we were a bit short of space and I've been trying to avoid diesel so didn't opt for that in the build ...

Ha! That's really good to know, thanks Geoff - and on the gas I can definitely see myself doing that repeatedly #-o

Re: Central locking on sliding door not working

I've had this too - I clicked lock on the key fob before the sliding door had fully closed and now the passenger side makes a noise when I try to lock and unlock. The boot and driver door still works; the passenger and sliding door don't. Have I broken it? TORPUSCAT any joy with a fix for yours?

Lids on the sink/hob combo - robust?

Morning all,

I'm just deciding on the fit-out of the silver dream machine, and before I go for the Dometic combo can anyone tell me how robust the lids are? For those that have them, do you use them like glass worktop savers and put stuff on the top of them or chop things, or are they easily ...

New member - thanks to all of you

Hello all,

I've just joined the forum and the club having just bought my first Bongo. Wanted to say thanks to all of you on here for unwittingly encouraging me along my long and winding road towards what eventually became the right one - I learned so much from reading all your posts and felt buoyed ...
