Thanks for the quick response.
The sound didn’t always happen at a stop. It sounds like a loud exhale of breath (from a person/or punctured lilo) lasting about 3-5 seconds.
It happened without the recirculating air on.
Is there anything specific I should look for to diagnose the problem?

Exhale noise coming from dashboard
Hi, I’m having an issue with periodic exhale noise coming from the dash. Sometimes it’s accompanied by a slight smell of chemicals.
It only happened on for the first time yesterday, but it happened around 4/5 times throughout a day of travel. The aircon seemed to be unaffected and wasn’t always on ...

Tailgate gas strut upgrade
Does anyone have the details on the force needed (Newtons) on the upgraded struts to work with a Thule bike carrier? I'm struggling to find what the original were and what force I need for a quote from SGS.

Re: ECU Wiring diagram 2001 V6 AFT
Just spoke with the garage and they are having a hard time locating a timing belt kit. Does anyone know where I could get one and the belt/engine that they could look for?
Thanks,
Michael

Re: ECU Wiring diagram 2001 V6 AFT
Oh good! There was no obvious noise at breakdown so fingers crossed.
Thanks for the info Geoff, I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: ECU Wiring diagram 2001 V6 AFT
The issue turned out to be a mechanical one. Snapped timing belt. Apparently I may need to be looking at a new engine if extra damage has occurred. Has anyone had this happen to them? If so what was the outcome?
I'm hopeful that it won't be needed but any good links for finding a new V6 engine in ...

Re: ECU Wiring diagram 2001 V6 AFT
Thanks Geoff, I’ve sent on to the garage.
Do you know what the component is the “amplifier” component is that I mentioned?
Also, they’ve hypothesized that it could be the crank position sensor that’s causing it not to start. Any clue on the likely hood of that?
Appreciate the help.
Mike

ECU Wiring diagram 2001 V6 AFT
Having trouble getting my 2001 V6 AFT fixed after it lost power and won't turn over. No power/signal getting to the spark plugs. Does anyone have a wiring diagram from the ECU? There is an "amplifier" between the ignition and spark plugs that may be the problem according to the garage... All ideas ...

Re: Rough idle/stall when warm
Hi Geoff,
Thanks for the quick reply.
It's a V6 2.5L Petrol. I do have an LPG conversion and the problem is consistent on both fuels. Not sure if that rules out the fuel cap hypothesis?
Michael
