Thanks Geoff. I thought I'd be brave and plug it in today with the ISO harness adaptor (less the reversing camera) and it seems to work fine, even the radio picked up a few FM stations
so looks like I'm lucky and just need to suss out how to connect the original camera

Just hoping someone can help me with identifying plugs and cables for my hopeful stereo upgrade...
In the pics below, the green plug was connected to the TV input of the original Japanese unit - is that the reversing camera (factory fit, I think)and if so which cable is which in that plug ...
