Re: Engine block heater
Hi There is a fact sheet in the members area...Look at the Engine Pre-heater fact sheet on how to fit the Kenlowe heater. If it's just a case of starting up in cold weather, there are a variety of additives for diesel engines . We get minus 25 C some years where I live and they works down to that te...

Hi Your best bet is to consult a local lawyer on the subject...Every country has it's own regulations , regardless of the old wives tales that you hear , and like most aspects of life in another country are subject to their own regulations....The EU does NOT rule everything in the whole of Europe......

Re: Fuel pump seal
Hi I've done the seals before, but this appears to come from above the domed plate????...It's conceivable that it could be spraying upwards???...but in the new year, I'll probably get a new pump....and then there's the issue of finding someone to fit it!.....LOL....I know how, but I don't have the p...

Fuel pump seal
Hi I have / had a starting issue, changed another couple of vacuum lines, even though they appeared undamaged, and the starting was fine???...BUT, there's a leak on the fuel pump (diesel) side plate that the throttle arm fits onto...just above the side-plate (domed) which retains the piston assembly...

Re: vacuum or fuel
Hi
Plonkatronix,
I am sure it will get sorted...The vacuum side of things seems a good place to start, and if no joy, I'll get a new pump...which I plan anyway...
Cheers

Re: vacuum or fuel
Hi Ady After I wrote that, I thought you meant the fuel pump....The solenoids are a complete new (S/H) set I replaced (from Bongobits) last year...I haven't done more than a couple of thousand Km since then...I looked at the suppliers of diaphragms earlier this morning...I can only find one...do you...

Re: vacuum or fuel
Hi Ady That's what I was thinking...vacuum, but I can't see any damaged pipe, and I've replaced most. Vac pump diaphragm...Is there one in the actual pump?....the only exploded diagram I could find just shows slinging vanes ???....Can the diaphragm be bought, or is it a new / second hand pump? Think...

Hi Bongolia Yes....I remember those names...not all,but I have to look them up sometimes...I copied that one (flitch plates) from an "Automotive Dictionary", but there are a fair few car dictionaries and I can't find that one again. Sadly, nobody uses the correct terminology these days, as it's easi...

Hi Yes, Bongolia, spot on...I have always known them as flitch plates, and i've not long been repairing my own cars....only 54 years, I'm afraid...LOL...after getting a quote from a garage , who thought the "silly woman" incapable, and quoted ridiculous money.....so I learned Here's a quote: Automot...

Re: Glass Fibre High Top
Hi I've had a reply via New Dawn from Drivelodge, and as they have a referral, they can supply. They obviously have agreement to only supply to their dealers, which is very fair...so I'll thank them both today / tomorrow. Next step is to find out how to get permission to convert over here. I can't j...
