Re: Rear 3 point seatbelts.... newbie help please.

I think a simple solution to your problem would be to retain both rear benches. This would give you 6 full seatbelts, you could then fit a small kitchen unit across the back of the van. This is what I have done, if you send me your email address I will post some pictures to you.........martin

Re: Engine Undertray

Bongod, to answer your original question, I have been running for about a year now without an understray - no problems at all.

Re: Converting rear bench seat to fold up seat???

OR turn the middle bench seat round to face the rear [a common mod' for Bongo's]. This will give you plenty of floor space for the dog and no loss of seating. 20 minutes work, cost? = zero! Image

An appeal to anyone who had replaced suspension springs.

Can anyone decribe briefly how to replace the suspension springs? I am about to replace lowered springs with standard, and I just need to know how to go about it. I have the use of spring compessers, any other special tools needed? thanks....Martin

Re: Vehicle Excise Duty For Bongos

A dealer dodgy enough to exploit this lophole in the law is hardly going to break down and cry when you confront him with his ploy. He certainly won't beg your forgiveness and offer a full refund. And I know it's not the fascists that are going to crush the van, it's VOSA, but they are the puppets o...

Re: Vehicle Excise Duty For Bongos

Ian, the bit about having the vehicle confiscated and possibly crushed. You've obviously put a lot of time and effort into this, thank you for that. A few sleepless nights ahead I suspect. Nightmares of a beautifull Bongo in a crushing machine. Strange, my grandad fought in two world wars to keep th...

I have seen this done at AVA Leisure, so a phone call to ask what was involved might help you. It was NOT a simple job!
