Re: broken down french sadness

Just get it back home. We couldn't evem get the French to patch weld our exhaust last year. You would need pretty special language skills to explain the bleading procedures even if they managed to fit a new head :(

Still going back next week though. Santander to Caen, here we come

Travel money in France

Now that Nationwide no longer offer free withdrawls in Europe, what is the cheapest way of getting cash abroad. I am looking at the pre pay cards ( travelex) etc.

Does anyone know which offers the best rates/ smallest fees

TIA

Re: Hi the AFT will not elevate??? ideas please

if the warning lights dim when attempting to put the roof up, then that would suggest a significant voltage drop.

If the fuse is not blowing, have you checked your battery voltage when lifting the roof.

Rad fans not coming on

I have just noticed myrad fans don't come on under normal driving conditions.
Removed the connector from the temp sensor and they fire up OK
I am assuming a sensor fault, but can't see a replacement part in the shop section

Does anyone know where I can get a new temp sensor?

TIA

Re: TRAVEL COTS AND BONGO CAMPER CONVERSIONS

We had our little girl sleeping up in the roof when she was just over 1 year old. She slept over the cab sideways on and we used a fold up bed side thingy wifh legs that went under the matress to keep it in place. She was always a good sleeper so as long as she was wam enough it was never a problem....

Re: Trip Details

Helen I'm afraid we are going to have to withdraw from this trip. We were really looking forward to the adventure, but other priorities have reared their ugly head. We are in the middle of a house renovation and it looks likely that we will have major buiding work going on over the summer. :( If thi...

Re: Dodgy Oil Filters

Thanks dandy, I will do that. Never used a strap wrench on the bongo before either, just panicked a bit because we were off on our first camping trip of the year the next day. Had a run of bad luck that week including a stone through the back winscreen of our other car as well. It's all a bit calmer...
