Re: CUSTOM CAR MATS
Just looked at those and see they are for the split rear seat models. Didn't see an option for rear bench seat. I don't profess to know what i'm talking about most of the time but don't the models with rear bench seats have runners that run all the way to the back. in which case anyone ordering thes...

Re: Length of a Motordome Apron????
Yes there is. My motordome is buried under a mass of camping gear and didn't really want to disturb it. Was kinda hoping somebody faced the same problem.

Re: Length of a Motordome Apron????
Was hoping someone knew the exact dimension. The problem is that when it was on the bongo it was slightly longer than the figure 8 strips and the strips were 3 pieces. The ends of the beading kept creaping out of the figure 8 and over time splayed the end a bit. My idea is to get a bit long enough t...

Re: Starter motor intermittent problem
Just a point to test. On my bongo I sometimes have to push the shifter forward when in park to operate the starter. I think the cables just need adjusting but I see it as an additional security feature

Re: Trailer Wiring problems
Where i spliced into the lighting wires behind the light cluster, i joined the earth wire to the existing loom, should i have earthed it to the body? Whilst testing trailer lights i did notice that the earth pin on the plug was very warm. It is carrying a lot of lights though. 4x running lights. 2x ...

Re: Trailer Wiring problems
I did re-fit the electrics myself, they were scotchloked and i removed them and soldered them up. Hi Did you fit the towbar and electrics yourself?...I had a towbar fitting firm to fit ours before we came here as I was in a hurry...I have absolutely no idea how the darned electrics worked at all ......

Re: Trailer Wiring problems
Both the trailer and bike rack have plastic plugs. Everything works if you push the plug right in and hold it in a certain spot. Socket is new. Plug is old. I opened up the pins with a screwdriver to get better purchase inside the pins/sockets. It has all the hallmarks of an intermittent earth, but ...

Trailer Wiring problems
My trailer plug is playing up. When i put my trailer or my bike rack on i get similar problems. When operating an indicator it will work depending on what mood it is in. A little wiggle of the plug and it will come on but the other one will go off. Sometimes it comes on and the other lights will dim...

Re: Kayaking at the Bash
There is another put in spot just upstream in the field next to the camp field. Walk round the back where the marquis is. The drop down to the water is not as steep and there was a large sand bank in the water to stand on, at least there was a few years ago when i was fishing there, check it out. If...

Cleaning oil from alternator
After all my charging problems I have managed to get a second hand alternator to fit to my Bongo. Unfortunately the donor vehicle looks to have had a bit of a leaky rocker cover and the alternator has born the brunt of most of it. Is it wise to clean it and what with? It is covered in a sticky slimy...

Fuel filler neck seal
I noticed while filling up that the seal around the filler neck has come adrift a bit. There is a bulky rubber seal at the top around the pipe and there is a softer, almost sponge like, seal under it. This seal is about 5 mm thick and as large as the widest part of the rubber seal on top. It is this...
