mine was the same,  had the strap  still difficult  with a bad back   until  I put a little bit of  olive oil   on the moving parts   lot easier

as Simon   says    is it   converted or unconverted  mine was  converted  and  I found       http://www.campton.co.uk/   to be very competitive   I started off with  no  no claims  discount but they took into account  my 9 years  NCD  on my other car

I   had the 2.5 diesel   for three years     and the 2.0  petrol  for two years      the mpg   was  the same  in both    30mpg   but  as stated  by others   the 2.5    seemed to   have  loads more power      and if  I was to get another    it would deffo be the 2.5  diesel

file a couple of bolts  to a point and screw them into the threaded holes in the spoiler offer it up  to van  and once in the correct possition   wiggle it  about  very slightly  so it  makes a mark on  the van  better  if  some one   helps  to hold  one end  hope this helps
