Thanks for all suggestions.
It turned out the old cat was not faulty. There was a small leak revealed by a smoke machine. Once this was fixed the emissions dropped within range.

Re: 2000 W Reg Bongo v6 failing emissions mot test
Thanks Geoff. We ordered a brand new cat, as it happens from Catman in Southampton for the same reason as you - we couldn't get a new one from any of the normal Bongo part suppliers. Ours was new from them through, not refurbished as there was only £50 difference between the two so we went for the n...

2000 W Reg Bongo v6 failing emissions mot test
Our Bongo has failed its MOT on emissions. Reading was 0.4 and limit is 0.3. We were advised a new cat was needed. New cat arrived and was fitted. Reading went up to 0.7, so it failed even worse! The Bongo has had new air filter, new oil recently and a new HT cap and leads a couple of years ago. The...

2000 (w) Bongo v6 cutting out when warm - Crank shaft position sensor?
I have a 2000 (w) Bongo v6 petrol. Yesterday it drove from Peterborough to Bury st Edmunds and then engine cut out. It started, drove a couple of hundred yards and then cut out again. Called the AA out. An hour or so later they arrived and it started first time without them doing anything. Drove ano...

Re: ABS Error Codes 12, 14 and 44
I got a used pair of rear sensors for £60 on ebay, fitted the rear n/s one and the 14 and 44 errors both disappeared and the bongo has now sailed through the mot first time. I didn't have to reset the fault codes. They cleared on their own after fitting the replacement sensor. The sensor came out su...

Re: ABS Error Codes 12, 14 and 44
Thanks for your reply. It's not as easy as that on mine unfortunately. That plug is plugged in all the way. I have been looking online at what the 44 code might be. On an Mx5 it is a different type of fault but on the same wheel: http://www.mazdamenders.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3469 - &quo...

Re: ABS Error Codes 12, 14 and 44
I've got the n/s rear sensor off and tested for continuity and it's reading 1. Dead.
I guess buying a new n/s rear sensor will sort the 14 error code but what about the 44?

ABS Error Codes 12, 14 and 44
I have a 2001 2.0l petrol bongo. The abs light has come on recently and it's due for its MOT next week! I've read the fault codes by jumping the gnd and tbs terminals of the socket behind the glove box. Initially the and light flashed 12, 14 and 44. It removed the leisure battery and tray, disconnec...

Re: Coolant leak problem
Thanks for the part numbers. Tried the local Mazda main dealer and they didn't seem to want to know. Mazda can't find them on their system in the UK and said the best they could do would be to email Japan and then it could take a month to get the parts but they didn't really know. Everyone I've e-ma...

Re: Coolant leak problem
Sorry - got company name wrong - it's Auto Jap Spares not Jap Auto Spares I spoke to. It was them that said the picture the garage supplied wasn't for a 2.0L petrol.

Re: Coolant leak problem
Thanks for the suggestions. Not having much luck. Found a few people who do the pipes for a turbo diesel, but not a 2.0L petrol. Japautospares think they may be able to get some, but the garage I am using have given me this showing the pipes that are leaking: http://www.bongoholidays.co.uk/IMG00200-...

Re: JAS Shut Down: Special Offers.
Hi - do you have any of the metal coolant pipes for a 2001 2.0l petrol bongo? Do you also have any of the hoses?

Coolant leak problem
Hi, Our Bongo has come back from a long trip around Scotland and has developed a coolant leak. The garage has said it needs the metal coolant pipe on the driver's side replacing, but say they can't source the part. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the metal coolant pipes for a 2001 2.0...

Re: Bongo wiring
Thanks Geoff. No, it doesn't have a zig psu. I bought the bongo a couple of years ago and it had the s/b connected to the zig and the electric hookup, fuseboard and sockets. Since then I have added the l/b which only powers the lights, 12v cig lighters and stereo via the fuseboard near the steering ...
