Re: I'm getting fed up with this now

If you don't want to use epoxy putty, you could blank it very easily with a short offcut of hose of the approriate diameter two hose clips and a bolt to close off the end of the hose. You could probaly get this from a helpful garage, automotive parts factor or possibly Halfords.

Re: Using incompatable coolants

We had a 'slime problem' at work on the heat exchangers on new marine diesel engines causing them to run too hot and in some cases overheat. They have a salt water cooled heat exchanger (instead of a radiator) and the slime would coat the surface of the heat exchanger tubes bundle preventing the hea...

Re: Good deals on silicone hoses

Thanks for that Kirsty - just bought a set :D I don't think I need them yet, but you never know with the 14 year old hoses  Ditto that.. Planning on changing coolant and checking/replacing stat & water pump sometime soon (well before the summer anyway..) so at that price figure I just wel...

Re: Remote locking, fobs & blades...

Well it's fitted & working, finished it off last night.. =D> The initial problem I had was that the actuator linkage rod supplied with the 2 wire actuator I bought was too short. I spent quite a while trying to work out how to mount it. In the end I gave up & decided I needed a longer linkin...

Re: Freda went clunk!

Sarah I hope you get it fixed to your satisfaction. I'm new to Bongo's and will be doing my coolant change sometime in the near future & am pondering the varying types of alarm etc available. Knowing what the original failure with the pump was would be helpful if you still get problems. ( none o...

Re: Remote locking, fobs & blades...

Unfortunately security is so low on a Bongo that any one could break in pretty easily any way. Using remote locking (as 95% of new cars do) is not something that would worry me. I decided not to bother with a car alarm, not many people take any notice of an alarm these days.. (other then wanting it ...

Re: Remote locking, fobs & blades...

It's disgraceful how lazy you get, I'm starting to find it really annoying having to use the central locking on the drivers door or heaven forbid lock/unlock doors individually.. got so used to pressing a button on a blipper on my last couple of cars.. I've just purchased a remote locking kit from t...

Re: Welsh Bongo Bash: 21 to 23 August, Snowdonia

I'm afraid we were guilty of not taking pics of the bash, also guilty for not socialising much in the evening (to b****y cold & windy...) Nice meeting those of you we spoke to & apologies for those we didn't.. We did enjoy our first 'Bongo Bash' though. 'Bongo leader' Ian organised a really ...
