That's a great price for insurance!

It certainly is an extremely good price when most policies have sky rocketed, I can see this company being inundated with new customers.

Re: Copper sump washer not in place for forthcoming year....

It can happen when the bolt is removed and does not remain on the thread of the bolt (which 9/10 times it does or is even like it is welded to the bolt head) and as it is not something I think of very much if it has "welded" itself to the sumps bolt hole facia it then warms and falls off ...

Re: Coolant bleeding

Hi all, just a quick question, is there a self bleed kit on the market so I can bleed the coolant on my own. Re: What's my value? 1999 2.5L side conversion 50K miles on clock!

A FORUM rule from Ian , Don't ask for an opinion on "What Is My Vehicle Worth?". Just have a look at the For Sale page or Autotrader, there's plenty of examples. And don't link to eBay ads, even if it's not your vehicle for sale. We have seen too many forums degenerate into a sales-fest an...

Re: Thule 953 roof bar kit

Welcome! Are you aware that there are 4 bolt fixing points on the top of an AFT designed for lifting the roof on/off and for bars across the width ? See here http://www.g8dhe.net/bongo_images/roof_bars-rack Its best not to lift the roof with a load on, but it does mean you don't have to remove the ...

Re: Brake Calipers - parts supplier

Hi all, a while back I was really struggling to find a reasonably priced front caliper for my Freda. Eventually found this place who were very helpful and very good on price. They also stock caliper service kits, pistons, etc. plus discs and pads: https://brakeparts.co.uk/ =D> =D> =D>

Re: Convert Bongo to Electric Vehicle

Hi All Would it be possible to convert a Bongo to EV? With more towns and cities planning to introduce ULEZones across the UK and the UK's 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel-only car, this would be something to consider if we want to continue using our amazing vans. Has anyone done it? I would be in...

Re: Starting issues...Glow plug relay?

My testing does not confirm this theory, although I have seen it mentioned before on here, however it simply doesn't appear to test that way. Put a meter on the glow plugs and monitor, when you turn the ignition on they power up, once the light goes off they stay on for another 10 seconds maybe a l...

Re: Starting issues...Glow plug relay?

The only thing that doesn't make sense compared to my findings with the bongo was on your first post you said that you put a battery in and heated the glow plugs, then started it, left them on for 30 seconds then removed the power to the plugs and it struggled?? From what I've tested, the glow plug...

Re: Roof Bolts for roof bars

Thanks for that, the picture shows up in the last message. So basically the bottom part of that bolt has fallen into the underside of the roof. I can't gain access to the underside of the bolt hole as the framework and mechanism for the elevating roof is in the way. I was wondering if people knew a...

Hi, did your mechanic check the compressions after the belt was fitted? , this is a run of the mill engine you should be able to get a mechanic to check it out.

Re: Front door rattle / closing

Yes you need to be careful ,make sure the window is down put your knee on the door card and pull top door frame towards you ,also check the striker plate for adjustment. If the striker needs adjusted and the screw are tight don't loosen the screws tap the plate with a hammer to adjust it, also check...
