Re: V6 Misfires when warm.
Well that's very interesting, what's the thinking behind that then? Never seen one like that before. I didn't actually take any material off or, like you say, it wouldn't run at all; more a gesture really.
You might just be right about it being a bad HT connection. Or perhaps it was a plug after ...

Re: V6 Misfires when warm.
Mended! :D
The HT leads and suppressor caps are in good nick but the contacts inside the distributor cap were very corroded; the edge of the brass blade on the rotor arm too. It is so pitted and burnt that under a magnifying glass it looks like an Aero! I have never seen one that bad.

V6 Misfires when warm.
Hi Everyone,
Early days in trying to identify the fault but maybe someone can help with a tip or two. Engine starts easily and runs well from cold with full power. As soon as it begins to warm up it starts to misfire, feels like only one cylinder but difficult to tell when you have 6 of 'em. The ...

Undersealing- Bristol Area.
Companies prepared to carry out proper undersealing seem to be thin on the ground but I have discovered one that will happily do it in North Bristol. I have mine booked in for a small bit of remedial welding, to get the sills and rear arches tidied up and for a full underseal.
They will clean and ...

Re: 4 aerials....... all crap
I have a pair of those aerials too. They look sexy but are probably useless, I don't actually know as I can't find the ends of the cables to try them out!
I had a useless Japanese radio too. I just cut to the chase and replaced it with a nice new Kenwood. Checkout the prices of band expanders first ...

TV Aerials
I have a pair of aerials stuck on the tailgate. They are telescopic and each unit opens out into a vee shape. They look like TV aerials to me.
Question 1. Are they any good for anything?
Question 2. Where on earth is the business end of the cables? Blowed if I can find 'em!

Re: Fibbing Speedo
Thanks for the heads up on having the ignition switched on when adjusting the speedo needle. I wouldn't have thought of that.
I am running on brand new tyres, 195/70 front and 215/65 on the rear. The speedo actually reads about the same now as it did with the old rubber on.
Regarding tyre sizes ...

Fibbing Speedo
I have a speedo with a replacement face ( miles per hour but with odometer in Kms). It is miles out! 8mph! The speedo reads a law abiding 30mph, the TomTom says 22mph. Seems to show the same error at any speed, (e.g. 60mph = 52mph). I know that all speedos read high but this much? It is testing my ...

Automatic gearbox. How to Use.
I have just bought a V6 and so I am now officially Bonkers.
However, in 38 years of driving ( Bantam to Bongo) I have never had an automatic.
In the absence of any paperwork, where can I find out how to use it properly?
It has buttons all over it!
You can laugh now if you like.
