Tyre Size advice

This question may have been asked before, but I have searched and can't find an answer, so here goes...

I've just inherited a set of almost new alloys, of the correct weight loading (690kg), fitted with 215/70-15 tyres, which again have the correct weight loading. I know that the normal tyre size ...

The Gendarmes class the snow socks as chains, so you should have no problems!!

Re: Eberspacher D2 Airtronic

I bought a small lawnmower plastic tank off ebay which I am mounting to feed my ebaspacher as I sometimes run it on veg oil. Also this saves me cutting into the fuel system for the engine. In my book it seems a good idea to keep the two separate!! :D

Re: Bongo in the Alps - Winter Checklist?

We live in the Massif Central and agree with the vote for winter tyres. We also have a set of snow chains as well! The French are very good at keeping the roads open but at times will limit access to some of the resorts to suitably equipped vehicles only.
It has been snowing today so this bodes well ...

Re: what's this bit of engine, please help to identify

I've just checked my bongo and found mine is missing :( - How important is it to have one and can anyone point me in the direction of someone who might have one?

Thanks......

Re: Changing Headlights for Continental use.....

Have been assured by French registration authority, DRIRE that the door issue is not a problem. If we can sort the headlights, the worst that would then need to happen would be the equivalent of an SVA, so will continue the quest for the elusive lamps!

Thanks for any help given......

Changing Headlights for Continental use.....

Hi! I am currently going through the process of registering my Bongo in France and I am trying to find suitable LHD headlamps. I have read the posts on continental headlamps, but was wondering if anyone has any practical experience of actually fitting non Bongo headlamps to their pride and joy!

Any ...

Re: Unidentified round rocker switch with red LED

Try the switch when you have your lights on - On my Bongo this is where the rear fog lamp switch is located - I don't think they have them in Japan so requires a new lamp and swiych in the UK.

Hope this help :)
