Re: electrical issues
hi, I haven't managed to remove fan from van yet but I wanted to ask, is there any way of testing the fan direct from 12v without removing it? The fan seems to spin quite freely ( by hand) with no resistance. Could you please tell me if the soldering looks ok on this image. I noticed that two of the...

Re: electrical issues
hi, The removal of the fan looks a bit challenging at the moment and I need to use the van but I will try next week. Thanks for link. Perhaps I could ask; the interior aft light( when the roof is up) doesn't seem to be getting any power to it. I have checked the fuse and that seems to be ok and the ...

Re: electrical issues
HI, The roof light problem was as you advised, the near side switch in the roof. The tiniest black rubber grommet had dislodged and had to be replaced (with a piece of rubber from an old pencil) :-). The front interior fan not so. The heater works fine but the fan ( when helped to start by a gentle ...

Re: electrical issues
Hi, thank you for pics and clip. I have checked the AFT front switches and the beeping stops when depressing the one above the drivers door but the Dashboard light still comes on after a couple of seconds ( when the roof is fully closed). I remember that whilst closing the roof, the beeping would au...

Re: electrical issues
Hi, thank you for your reply and link to drivers door wiring loom. I have the older slider style controls. Are the thermal fuses easily accessible and repairable by a novice ? :-) I will check the limit switches on the AFT. Thank you for the very helpful pics. A couple of months ago I noticed that t...

Re: electrical issues
Hi, There has been little to no electrical work done on the bongo apart from rear wiper which was a broken wire. I've had the bongo for 10 years. The roof light issue has been there for some time but the front fan and the blinds are a recent problem. I inspected the wiring between drivers door and p...

Re: Glow plug relay problem?
BTW I have taken the relay apart and can't see any obvious problems (all wires appear to be connected and absolutely no corrosion)

Glow plug relay problem?
hi, I have read lots of posts about similar problems and been testing as best as poss (not confident with multimeter) and it appears to me that it is the glow plug relay. There is no power at glow plug bar. The fusible link seems ok (no broken or loose connections) the pic i have taken might help; h...
