Re: Yet another awning question!!

hi - the awning is a gem ! ihave a 1.8m on my GMC safari [ but 2.5 is better ]. It is not spring loaded just a simple roll out / roll in so you can have it set at whatever length suits. www.agentfiamma .co.uk do decent deals £279 last time i looked. Every bit as good quality as the much more expensi...

Re: Fitting LCD TV options

Simon is right about the 12v supply. Most 12v tvs it seems are not keen on irregular voltage. Apparently they are mostly manufactured in China [ what isn't ? ] and it's cheaper to make them as 12v and then the country that supplies them adds their own AC regulated supply lead which effectively trans...

Re: Fitting LCD TV options

i bought one of these in link below, 16 inch screen is more than adequate in my GMC safari which is bigger than the bongo. it is 12 or 240 v, has integrated dvd player and freeview and the picture quality is astonishing for such a cheap set. mine came with 240 lead but no 12v so i bought one on ebay...

Re: Flashing HOLD light

throttle position sensor , common problem - it's basically giving duff info to the gearbox so box doesn't change when it should as it thinks vehicle is going different speed to actual. Another common one is caused by the speedo chip some have fitted. This is the little chip fitted to rear of speedo ...

If there were more parents in this country like you it would be a million times a better place. Your children are blessed and will look back in years to come on a brilliant childhood. You two are [ i'm sure ] equally blessed and will never look back and think '' oh i wish i had done this with the ki...

Just tried battery and it is now resting at around 13.2v disconnected. It's a sealed LB , nudged it around and it appears still full so hopefull...

Re: solar charging 60w panel

yes , readings given are from battery terminals, tried taking a reading at the terminals where panel connects to regulator and that showed 19 volts [ although spec on panel states 18volts ]. just tried again [ reading at battery terminals ] with panel connected , reading was 15.7v ,then disconnected...

solar charging 60w panel

I have recently fitted a 60w panel to the roof of van and within hours of connecting the panel the voltmeter had gone from 12.6 starting to 17 volts then came to rest at around 13.7 volts and charge light indicated full. I have taken a look again today [ having ignored it for a few days due to being...

Re: Bongo selling

Generally speaking dealers wont offer you much. They want to make their mark up and need to factor in costs of getting vehicle ready for sale and warranty etc. A private sale is your best bet and advertising on here in for sale pages is well worth a try. People feel more comfortable buying off fello...

Re: Clunky front shocks?

Had the same symptoms and diagnosis from a local garage on a bongo a few years ago , difficult to confirm without stripping down i was told. Never did get it done and sold it with knocking still there but told buyer of problem.
