Re: Where is my bleed pipe, it's missing
Bled mine via the turbo coolant pipe, the rubber pipe fits nicely inside a length of hose pipe then wedge the funnel in the top of the hose, wear thick rubber gloves and hold your thumb over the metal pipe coming out of the turbo.

Re: Lights????
Do the main front lights work ? My money's on the switch / stalk, the brass contacts in the roller get dirty / worn, Ford's of the era also suffer with this, place a rag around the roller and squirt some electrical cleaner in there, let it penetrate turn the lights off and on 20 times and see if thi...

Re: Bongoing in France, pitch description?
European campsites usually just book by the pitch, they don't really care what you put on it.

Re: diesel leak
Did the garage say where on the pump its leaking ? Dome seals can be done without removing the pump but internal leaks require pump removal.

Re: Kid friendly campsite in France
There is a cracking campsite at Troyes - about 90 mins chug south of Reims - we have stayed there a few times - nice size pitches, almost in the centre of town - supermarket next door, free wifi and a swimming pool. The shower blocks are also of a good standard. The weather is lovely Aug/Jul as wel...

Re: Rear conversion advice needed!
I have a rear conversion and my advise is this, don't have a conversion at all, just leave her as an 8 seater as it's the most versitile set up possible, with a conversion of any type you are just robbing sleeping space, you'll do all your cooking outside as you won't want your bongo smelling like b...

Re: Spotless Air Filter and Dirty Banjo = Lumpy starting?
Take a 10mm spanner and a small flatblade scew driver when she's stone cold, lift the drivers seat and turn the ignition on so the dash lights illuminate but don't start her, when you turn the ignition on you'llsee the cold start mechanism activate near the fuel pump, turn the ignition off and slack...

Re: coolant loss
Mine had a tiny pin hole in the hose that runs from the drivers side of the engine to feed the rear heater it only weeped when the engine was up to temp and the heatfrom the engine was evaporating most of it off, worth getting er up to temp lifting the drivers seat and taking a look.

Re: Expansion Tank constantly needs filling up!
Sounds exactly the same as mine was, no drips no leaks but using coolant, the garage who diagnosed mine had to do a whiffer test for 30 mins as the leak was so small from the head gasket, coolant was leaking down the exhaust port and being burnt off by the heat, had the head and gasket replaced and ...

Re: Glo Plugs problem
Sounds to me like your mechanics are hamfisted oafs who have wrongly tried to remove your plugs by trying to cut corners, I always take them hot warm after removing all the ancillaries to get the best possible access, I then give them a good squirt of wd40 and go in for a cuppa while the wd penitrat...
