Re: Team Muz Yorkshire Abbeys Tour
Great pictures and great to see a mention of the corryvreckan whirlpool as featured in the amazing book The Celtic Ring by Bjorn Larsson. Well worth a read if you can find a copy.

Re: Mazda Bongo 2.0eco
No idea about the eco bit but we have a 2.0 litre converted to gas. The 2.0 litre is a bit underpowered but you don't really notice the difference if running on petrol or gas. I guess if I ever bought another one I would go for a V6 as the 2.0 litre does struggle a bit fully laden on hills We have n...

One of the best things we bought was a waeco compressor fridge. Expensive but well worth it. Lasts for days of the leisure battery.

External thermal screens
Anyone know where I can buy an external screen for the windscreen and front windows? Can't find one for the bongo anywhere but I seem to remember reading about someone using a VW version that fitted fine.

Re: V6 Airlift suspension kit
I got mine fitted buy 321 away. They said the kit I had was really tricky to fit but they did a great job. They put the air inlet behind the hatch in the side door step by the jack, really neat. Can't remember what type of kit it was but I bought it off another forum member Really makes a difference...

Just to add to the party, the gauge in my 2lt rises to almost 12 o clock after about 5 minutes and then doesn't budge at all.

Re: What's this power socket???
I had this with mine. Pull off the trim and you will see the inverter behind it. Just unplug the wiring from the bottom (watch your arm on those sharp trim clips) and let the cable hang loose. The 12v socket will work fine but the inverter won't flatten your LB. Easy!

Re: bongo with kids
We use one of these for our 4 year old http://www.vw-beds.com/products/bongo.html With thermal screens on the windows and the curtains behind the front seats it makes her own bedroom. We also have a toddler who sleeps with her mum downstairs and me in the roof. I have had the roof converted by 321aw...

Re: Inflatable baby/toddlers bed
Another vote for the ready bed. Fits perfectly on a cab bed we got from VW beds. Great combo

Re: Kent to Cornwall
There a a few National trust places just off the A303. We use them as posh service stations. Good place for a picnik, let the kids run around and you can get a good cup of tea.

Knockhatch is great for kids, its a bit basic but it is right next to the adventure park which will keep the kids busy all day.

Re: 110v inverter, huh, what is it good for?
I've got one of these fitted. It has a flap that covers a two pin 110v socket and a regular 12v cigar socket. When I fitted my leisure battery I just pulled back the trim where the seatbelt comes out and unplugged the wiring plug from the bottom of the inverter. Watch out for the trim clips scratchi...

Mines a new shape 2001 in white and I am starting to see the odd spot of rust but no bubbling yet. Should I do something now or wait?
