Re: Bongo buying Scotland
Hi Clair and David, Welcome to the forum and glad to see another north of the boarder. =D> I've had no dealings with Bill but he has an excellent reputation on here :P . I bought mine down south just because there is more choice and they may be cheaper, I got a 2 wheel drive diesel AFT with a camper...

Re: Tail gate lift
I've used SGS, and they are quick to turn the work around, and a lot cheaper than new. One thing I noticed, though, was that I could probably have just had one side uprated. With a stainless steel ladder, and two uprated struts, it flies up maybe a bit too quick.... SD I agree how quick the...

Re: How to clean the tent section
Aye, Oil of Cloves is the thing you need.
This is taken from another thread " Half a tea spoon in 1 litre of water, spray on and leave 20 mins, wipe clean then respray"
The Dettol might stink a bit.

Re: First real outing
Went very well and actually the weather was fairly kind with Saturday fine and Sunday a bit changable. Didn't get a sun tan more weather beaten  Great wee campsite right on the beach and cheap as chips at £15 for an electric hook up pitch. I was brought up in Portsoy as a young child so always ...

Re: Tail gate lift
I got mine regassed here: http://www.sgs-engineering.com/pages/Regassing-Service While you wait service if you're local. Mine were just generally tatered but as we've got a bike rack on the tailgate I asked about upping the pressure. The guy there wasn't sure but said he doubted the struts would ta...

Hi All,
I've recently fitted a Thule bike rack and very happy I am with it too.
Question is though, with the bikes off the rack the tail gate wont stay up on it's own, do I need new gas struts? it was fine before...

Re: Cheeky request from Aberdeen
Hi there. We are thinking about getting a Bongo and had no idea of the variety of things you can do to one. We are off to see two this week, one I mentioned here yesterday, 96 2.5 TD low mileage but a tin top (£6k) and another not advertised yet in the shire 2002 plate for £11k auto city runner 2.5...
