Ah - I might have taken a feed from the leisure battery, which would be permanently on - I will have to checkAnother possibility is that the switched 12v live feed is permanently on.

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
I read your reply and agreed with you - then I took it out for the day, got to the motorway and thought I would give it a try - to my surprise it worked faultlessly all day. Tried test B when I got home and it still does not work - which I dont understand. Anyway - it is working and I assume that is...

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
This is on a 2.0l
I took off the vacuum tube and was pleased to feel a reasonable suck at tickover.
Vacuum is taken from the brake servo about 2 inches from the unit.
Throttle cable is free running - no kinks etc - moves by hand easily.

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
I have done a continuity test from the connector block on the control unit to the final connectors on black, red and white wires at the servo unit and get a good connection on all of them. I assume the vacuum connection must be good as I would not get power assisted brakes if there was a leak - woul...

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
Thanks for the replies: It works at 15mph and 15mph only. Stationary test A works, test B does not. The engine speed does not change at all. The wiring looks ok and the vacuum connection looks fine (taken from the brake servo). I have tried it with each of the sensitivity settings on the control box...

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
I am still struggling with my installation - it works at 15mph.
The loop wire is cut and none of the sensitivity settings make any difference.
Technical support from the importers seems non-existant.
Any more suggestions?

Re: Help please - Starter motor/Waeco cruise control
Hit brake to reset the unit.
Hold down set button while starting the engine then release.
Turn the c/c on - green LED comes on (not flashing)
Press the set button.
Nothing happens - LED still does not flash - holding the set button or repeated pressing makes no difference.

Re: Help please - Starter motor/Waeco cruise control
When I said it was working at 15mph - it only works at 15mph. If I go back to using SP+ there is no chance that I am using the wrong blue/white wire so I might do that. Is there a way of measuring the output from the speedo with a multimeter so I can check at the connector block by the c/c electrick...

Re: Help please - Starter motor/Waeco cruise control
After much head scratching I am beginning to think I have tapped into the wrong wire from the speedo -I used the Blue/White from the central connector block, I have also tried the SP+ terminal - neither worked.
Can someone confirm that these should work on a 2002 2.0l petrol Bongo please.

Re: Help please - Starter motor/Waeco cruise control
I changed my speedo take off from SP+ to the blue/white from the middle connector - as per http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?p=343243#p343243 I went on a test drive and found that c/c worked at about 15mph. Then I cut the loop and tried again - no difference. Tried the different s...

Re: Help please - Starter motor/Waeco cruise control
I think you are right - I have decided to come back to it after finishing the cruise control installation. Now I have a problem with the installation. Troubleshooting Test A (from the Waeco manual) checks out fine, but I can not get anything out of Test B. The engine speed does not change at all. Th...

Re: Help please - Starter motor/Waeco cruise control
Thanks - that link actually sorted things out - up to a point. While removing the instrument panel I lowered the steering column using the lever underneath it. When I put it back to the fully up position my starter motor problem went away - which suggests it is probably a bad connection somewhere on...

Re: Help please - Starter motor/Waeco cruise control
That sounds like good news (I think) - but how the heck do you get at the ignition switch - do you have to remove the steering wheel to get the cowling off?
