2.5l Diesel power loss/hesitating over 2500 rpm when acceler

Hiya - got a 2.5l diesel and have noticed that when accelerating often when I go over 2500rpm there is a jerky hesitation like the power is dropping off then coming on again - especially when going up hills Any thoughts as to what may be going on - fuel starvation, turbo issue, something else ? so I...

Re: Adding new internal tailgate lights - Tailgate wiring ti

there's also a grommet halfway down the pillar - which I removed and managed to get a long wire down that far from the top, and then got a shorter wire up from the bottom ( you need heavy duty tweezers to grab the wires) - soldered them together and then pulled the longer wire down to form a singel ...

Re: Replacement Exhaust issue

Interesting - not too bothered about the stainless cracking as it's supposed to be warrantied for life! - the guys that fitted it said they'd heard of this too - so just have to look out for that one! Just as an addition to this - blocked off the pipework and removed the valve - there is a significa...

Re: Replacenment Exhaust issue

yes - have the winter pack - extra battery connection, switch for engine heat thingy by right knee etc. Was told it was an intercooler and could be dumped, and the pipework sealed off with an M8 bolt - but wanted to be sure before it got done, the old parts dumped, and finding out it was a necessary...

Re: De-mister, De- froster

Thanks for this tip - our demister wasn't working either - and had a look under the dash as described, and found the little locking "finger" has gone, so the linkage arm had popped out the hole - just popped it back in and it all works (for now) - just have to fashion a new locking finger ...

Re: Help needed with leisure battery

you'll need to trace the wiring from the leisure Battery to find the (new) fuse box for the items connected to it It will all depend on if the conversion is a home-brew job, or professional job - if it was done by a company (and you know who it is) a quick google, and phone call should give you the ...

Re: sliding door

Do you every have to Waxoyl again? - I thought it was a one-off job that lasterd the life of the vehicle although from the Waxoyl website It is worth checking the underside of your vehicle at least annually for areas where the Waxoyl coating may have been rubbed off is wearing thin. A full re-applic...

I'd be more worried about speed bumps - they obviously don't have them where those body kits are made coz they look like they're only a few mm off the road !

Re: Winter Checks

Seem like you just need to keep your usual camping gear in the van

Sleeping bags (& pillows)
Cooker & gas
pot'n'pans
Tea, coffee, UHT Milk
Water
tinned food
chamber pot (or nearest 21st century equivalent)

and make the most of it if you get stuck in the snow
