Re: Anyone in Fife or Edinburgh willing to hire/lend a pela

Big thanks to Matt for the use of his pela =D> , got the job done on Saturday. I am gonna think about the extra cooling, probably will add it but need to save a few pennies as there are other jobs to be done first. Not planning any long haul trips with the caravan till the end of the summer so.... T...

Re: Anyone in Fife or Edinburgh willing to hire/lend a pela

Thanks for the replies guys, I have pm'ed Alacrity to get more info about the added cooling system. Gordon I have been offered the use of a pump so I will try it out and see if it's something I want to add to my tool kit so I might get back to you. I've read the fact sheet and had some useful advise...

Re: Anyone in Fife or Edinburgh willing to hire/lend a pela

Thanks for the replies guys, I tried a cheap one this morning but couldn't get it to start pumping, maybe the fluid wasn't warm enough but I was worried about it being too hot that it would melt the tube. :( Also the container it had with is was only a litre and thought that if I could get hold of s...

Re: Gap in the bodywork

Thanks again guys. The gaps around the doors and bonnet look fine I have taken a couple of photos of the underside of the rail and it does look like it has a small bow but I don't know if it's enough to make a difference. I guess I just want to know if it's something I need to be worried about http:...

Re: Gap in the bodywork

Thanks for the replies. The gap on the nearside is about 1cm and the gap on the off side is about half that. Like I say the ride has become harsh as well which makes me think that by being up on the ramp something has happened. whether allowing the shocks to fully expand has now made them less resis...

Gap in the bodywork

Hi peoples. I have just noticed what looks like a large gap in the bottom rail of my Freda. Does this look normal or do I need to get it checked. I just had my local garage replace the lower wishbone ball joint on the passenger side and the ride seems to have become really harsh. All these things co...

Re: Self build micro caravan

Well I started my little Reliant project in January and we have just had our first outing with it this weekend at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (a round trip of about 300 miles). We have a Ford freda which is a four berth but I have a family of five so we needed an extra berth for my eldest as he ...

Re: Charcoal west Fife

Well I got plenty of charcoal from Go-Outdoors and managed to cook everyones steaks to perfection, except the two Mothers who's steaks I mixed up  Cooking outside was a stroke of genius if I do say so myself as it meant being able to have a few ciders while 'stoking' the BBQ and getting out of...
