Re: V6 cam / rocker cover bolt oil seals

Yours are much less leaky than mine. I tightened mine up a little and they're better... for now. The part seems to be 10-237, so it could be these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Mazda-929-MPV-Engine-Valve-Cover-Bolt-O-Ring-Nippon-Reinz-JF0110237-/200774763576?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&...

Stimson Explorer Kit

Does anyone have one of these? I have seen the details on the Stimson's website, but finding it difficult to workout exactly what is included with it. Does it come with plates/cutlery etc, or do you add those yourself? Is it worth the money (approx £300)?

It's higher up than that - it sounds like it's coming from right behind the steering wheel. :? Thanks for the suggestion though. :)

Or you could try lightly tapping the rails back into place with a small hammer. Obviously it's a temporary fix, but I did that six months ago with mine and they're still Ok. :)

Steering wheel - strange noise

For the past week or so my steering wheel has made a strange noise. It's an occasional crack or scratchy noise. Definitely from behind the steering wheel. It sounds like a bearing - is there one? Any ideas how difficult it is to remove the steering wheel? I'm a bit nervy of the airbag going off. :) ...

Re: Loosing Coolant not overheating after Cambelt change

It could be the discharge from the a/c evaporator, although I don't know exactly where this comes out. I think it's passenger side. Simon will know. :) When my V6 has a coolant change and is bled, I find it's normal to keep topping up throughout the week as it settles out. It was like that when I bo...

Re: Loosing Coolant not overheating after Cambelt change

As you stand looking at the front of the Bongo, is it coming from the left or the right hand side? The radiator drain tap is on the left, so it could be that it hasn't been closed properly. Or they might have removed the bottom hose from the radiator in order to drain the system - again on the left ...

Re: Low mileage service interval...

Presumably you are looking for a service interval of longer than 12 months? If it was me, I would still change the oil, oil filter and the air filter ever 12 months. It's peanuts in the grand scheme of things. :)

Install a low coolant alarm. If not, check your coolant level at least once a week.

V6 air con idler/tensioner bearing

I had a rough one, causing significant engine whine. Henderson bearings in Ringwood supplied a replacement bearing for just £5. Hammer out the old one using a socket, then hammer in the new one using the old bearing. Peace. :-# :)

Re: Can you avoid a head gasket change...

I have read your other topic on your concerns about your Bongo. From the sound of things, you haven't lost any water and the Bongo hasn't overheated. As others have told you - the cooling system is supposed to be pressurised - that's how it works. So why are you worried? :? If you bought it from peo...

If there is no play in the joint, try using some spray grease - cover the UJ in it.

Re: not sure if this is classes as pimp'in but its hand made

In the morning I'm going to show my daughter a pic of your van. She will absolutely love it!!! :D =D> Although there is a danger she will be inspired by it and get the paintbrushes out on mine..... :? :? :? Good for you though. Bongos (I think) tend to be rather bland and yours certainly is not that...

Re: FRONT ANTI ROLL STABILISER DROP LINK

They've been on for two whole days. Do a search on eBay for Meyle HD Bongo. £31.95 for the pair. Here's what happened to my cheapo ones that were on for four months (£17 for the pair). http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y441/scratchedrecord1/IMG_0165_zpsd17762a2.jpg And here's the Meyle HD on...
