Camping municipal Le Vallon de l'Ehn

If anyone's heading as far east in France as the Alsace region (wine, Great War history, the Vosges mountains and nature reserve, and wine), I can recommend the above municipal site in Obernai - clean, friendy and not too packed in even over a public holiday (French) weekend during August. Less tha...

Re: help needed fitting roofbars please

I had a similar problem with removing some very rusted bolts holding the rack on to the roof, to the extent that I managed to loosen and lose the metal retainers and shear the bolts inside what looks very much like the "A". I therefore now have two very useless holes in the roof, which I ...

Re: Fuel gauge reading permanently (V6)

Thanks for the replies all, although it's a bit odd as it I'm sure it zeroed itself before, so maybe it's right now!!

Fuel gauge reading permanently (V6)

Hi,

For some reason the fuel gauge on our Bongo doesn't return to zero when the ignition is switched off. It seems to give a correct reading, which is a good thing, but I just wondered why it didn't switch off!! Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks

Re: Towbar Electrics Mystery

We had a similar problem with our car's towbar electrics - same side indicator in fact!! I know you wrote that you'd checked the wiring, but if you haven't opened up the socket it's worth a look there; on ours there was so much corrosion on the connectors side it was a little surprising anything wo...

Re: Wiring blinds and other to leisure battery

That looks perfect in fact! I'm sure I didn't see that on the Willinton pages when I was looking for alternatives, but if I didn't have my glasses on... One duly ordered!

Many thanks

Re: Wiring blinds and other to leisure battery

Thanks for the response, all.

Geoff, I think you're saying that the common supply for the accessory fuses is effectively already protected by the fuse between the LB and the CBE unit - is that right, and is there a reason for that? (Hope that's understandable!!)

Thanks

Wiring blinds and other to leisure battery

Hi all, With winter coming, my mind has moved to jobs to do on Bertie before next season, so first question coming up!! Our conversion has CBE units managing the electrickery (hookup, split charging etc), but I like the way that the Willinton split charger units seems to include wiring to reroute t...

Yet another awning question!!

Having just spent a successful if darned hot three days Bongoing in the Black Forest, MrsSniff and I have come to the conclusion that an awning is required. I am looking at the F35 Pro 250 in Titanium (silver over green Bongo - colour co-ordination is so important!!) which seems to be a nice lightw...

Re: Flat bed?

I'm very interested in the option of flattening the existing seat (already cut down for a side conversion) - does anyone have any recommendations / contacts?

Thanks!

Re: Roof Rails

As far as I know it's original; that's how it was imported - it's a later Bongo (2001) if that makes a difference?

Roof Rails

Hello, hope this is the right forum for this question. I bought a set of the roof rails from the online shop and noticed that the foot has a lip which is clearly meant to fit the roof profile. Unfortunately out AFT doesn't have the same profile (checking the photos of the side rails in situ shows a...

Hookup adapter - quality and price?

Hello. We are doing some Bongoing around Europe (France, German and Luxembourg) and on our first French site I found to my surprise (although on hindsight perhaps not) that it didn't have the "European standard" hookup points but what looked very much like ordinary indoor sockets. Having ...
