Re: Dubrovnik via Bosnia

Hi Glenda, Thanks for the info. Yes, I'd seen that page. Just wasn't sure about the actual process when you got to the crossing. Where you park, what you need, how much it costs, how long the process takes etc. It worries me that the page states "you should be able to buy insurance at the Dolja...

Dubrovnik via Bosnia

Hi, We are planning to head to Croatia next month. Although we have taken our Bongo there before, we didn't go as far south as Dubrovnik. On this trip we'd like to head further down the coast. The most direct route looks to be via the Neum Corridor in Bosnia (approx 6 miles), the alternative is a fe...

Re: Alternative Part For Aircon Tank / Receiver Drier

I've ordered an aftermarket part listed as being compatible with other Mazda models. Dimensions and connection configurations look to be the same as the one I have fitted. I'll report back once I get the part and the fitter returns.

Re: Alternative Part For Aircon Tank / Receiver Drier

Thanks for the response Helen.

In this case the breakers yard will be the last resort, as an old unit will not be as effective at filtering system debris or moisture. But it may come to that if I can't find an alternative.

Cheers

Alternative Part For Aircon Tank / Receiver Drier

Hi, Just had a visit from the aircon engineer. He found a leak on the top of the tank (aka receiver drier). Part #61-500 / S09A61500 in this diagram: http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/code=6130A&cat=a2ajra05&vin=&imgno=01of02.html . This part is listed on Ian's Parts No Longer Availa...

Re: Solar panel wiring questions

Hi Dodgey, Many thanks for getting back to me. Both the switch and the relay are part of the existing wiring. The switch is essentially the master switch for the existing load; fridge, water pump, lights (which are on the 12v socket circuit) etc. Not sure what function the relay has. I assumed it sw...

Solar panel wiring questions

Hi, I'm looking to connect a solar panel via a solar regulator to our van. The van is converted and has existing 12v circuits, so I'm looking to connect to these rather than running new wiring to the leisure battery. I've looked how the wires are physically connected and knocked-up a wiring diagram ...

Re: Front cross-member replace / repair

Thanks Dave. I've never used this garage before, so I'll need to check their rates when I collect my van. However, if I base this on average rates, it looks like they have allowed themselves 6 hours to do the work. I suspect they've allowed time to cover their Bongo inexperience. I'll get another qu...

Re: Front cross-member replace / repair

I've just had a quote from a local garage to repair my cross-member. It was more expensive than I expected. I appreciate that this would be fairly labour intensive, but can anyone give me some idea of how much time it should take a garage to complete the work? Or PM me a price they have paid...

Front cross-member replace / repair

Hi, The underside of my front cross-member below the radiator is rusting away. 53-160B on the diagram... http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/code=5310A&cat=a2ajra05&vin=&imgno=.html The rest of this piece looks reasonably solid. Is it preferable to repair or replace this part? Woul...

Hi!

Martin, Sally and Matt(13).

We've recently become Bongo owners and live in York.

Looking forward to seeing some local Bongos on the roads.
