Re: Vitrifrigo Fridge not working

I'm pleased to report that the blown fuse has now been replaced, the battery charged up (it took 48 hours) and the fridge is working as before. I am going to use the fridge more sparingly over the next weekend camp at Bongo Fest South West. I think I over did it using it for a week almost non stop ...

Re: Vitrifrigo Fridge not working

I can only find one fuse which is between the Relay switch and the two batteries but it does seem to have blown and the battery is still not charged up after 24 hours. I suppose if the fuse blew first then the battery would have run down and the fridge stopped working when the low voltage kicked in ...

Re: Vitrifrigo Fridge not working

Not a zig. There is no control for it. When we had a look today the mechanic said it was a relay system. I'll have a look under the bonnet tomorrow and take a photo. The conversion man who set it up is currently on a world trip so I can't ask him!

Re: Vitrifrigo Fridge not working

I've had the battery charge checked and it was very low and needed charging. As I had just driven from Sussex back home in Exeter I think that probably means the battery has had it. Is there anything else I could check? It has a box attached to it which says something about relay switch. Could that ...

Re: Vitrifrigo Fridge not working

Thanks for the reply.
I couldn't hear the fan at all today when I hooked it up and turned it on. The only sign of life was the light coming on.
I found a suggestion on a forum to pull the fridge out to let it dry out in cas of damp. Do you think that might help? I did not see any sign of water but ...

Vitrifrigo Fridge not working

Hi there,
I'm just back from a couple of weeks camping and in the past three days my fridge has stopped working although the light still comes on. It usually works both with and without hook up but now it is not running at all. I have checked the fuse, assuming it's the only one with 30 amps, and ...

Brackets for Omnistor Awning?

Hi there,

After two Bongo write-offs in two years, I am now the owner of a beautiful third-time-lucky Bongo and am preparing for a summer of camping fun. My old Bongo had an Oministor pull out awning which had to go with the second write off as it was damaged in a fire. I am intending to get ...

Re: Which size Fiamma awning?

That's helpful. As long as it has an awning channel on the front I can the sides on using washing line props!
Does the Fiamma need additional brackets or does it fit into the gutter/rail on the bongo?

Cheers

Re: Which size Fiamma awning?

That's interesting but it looked a bit flimsy on the web site. I have a set of Lily Pad sun and rain nets which attatch along the awning channel and a Daytonna which also slides in. Would the 35 cope with these attachments?

Which size Fiamma awning?

Hi Bongonauts,

I want to get a Fiamma for my Bongo but I don't know which size to get. I believe it's the 45 but they come in various lengths. Which ones have you guys got? Any recommendations?

Mushroom roof insulation?

Hi,

I am in the process of replacing my auto free top bongo which was recently written off due to fire damage. I am going to view a JAL vehicle with a mushroom roof and am wondering how good they are at:

Providing ventilation when cooking

Keeping in warmth when camping in spring or autumn ...

I have £11,000 on the insurance. But that's not enough to replace it like for like.

Advice please on settlement for write off.

Last Sunday my Bongo was damaged in a fire. Not my fault, the car parked behind mine caught on fire and melted the rear of my vehicle.

My Bongo was a 2002 V6 petrol, automatic, with full side conversion (second hand but professionally fitted) and a pull-out Oministor awning. It had 66,000 miles on ...
