my 2.5 v6 petrol is running a bit off at the moment.A neighbour has offered the services of his diagnostic "thingy ma bob". Does my baby have a connection port for this device and where would it be located
History-12 months ago my poor 2.5 v6 had major oil leak;cam seals -all changed/new cam belt etc.Present symptons-strong smell burning oil/could fry an egg on the engine even after a reasonably short journey/sluggish between gears and on hills.Checked-oil levels/water /coolant/transmission and no ...
it certainly was a great few days-great to make new friends. No cold evenings for us;just rawing fires and the vicious screw's humour.Had a fab time-can't wait for future outings.
as above-get the oil seals done. The garage i bought my v6 from didn't feel the need to do them until they sprung a leak big time-they did them and a new cam belt at their expense-would have cost me best part of £800-lesson learnt.

just put my '98 2.5 v6 trough MOT today-1970kg has been entered on certificate-I asked the question about weight being required;its just for the brake test settings.
have to post my hearty thanx to Simon-todays outing was a trip tp europarts to collect 25% discounted battery-one happy bongo again(until MOT saturday morning-one worried owner)
recently have had problems with dead battery-radio on for an hour whilst cleaning(dead)/filled up at garage;lights left on no more than 5/10 minute(dead).I have tested the battery this morning and it would appear that 4 out of the 6 cells are not upto standard. Now to replace the battery-1998 2.5 v6 ...
I'm looking for a bongo friendly MOT station within a 30ish mile radius of Ackworth nr Pontefract West Yorkshire-the garage used for my wife's car is already making excuses about the bongo.
