Recommended fitters in South Devon?

Hi,
Can anyone recommend someone near Plymouth to examine the existing electrics and leisure battery in a bongo I bought, to diagnose and perform what needs to be done to run a fridge, light and laptop for a few hours/day?

Thanks :D

Re: hold light/rev counter

Thanks g8dhe for the tips.

Mines a diesel, automatic 4wd. Getting two codes from the hold light sequence:

12 - throttle position sensor
16 - not listed in the Automatic Transmission Malfunction Codes (from the philmcfadden link above), but in the Engine Malfunction Codes its described as EGR ...

Re: hold light/rev counter

Hi and welcome!

You'll need to note the pattern of flashes next time it happens - here is a good place to start reading: http://www.philmcfadden.co.uk/MazdaDiagnosticBox.htm

Jumping onboard here (hope you don't mind) as I have very similar transmission problems and need to read the flashing ...

Re: LEATHERETTE SEAT COVERS

This was a pimp that I wasn't going to compromise on, and bespoke work always has its price.
If you'll excuse me, I'll politely refer you direct to Paul - P.O.A.
I'm glad you like them though, thankyou.

Re: LEATHERETTE SEAT COVERS

I've had my seats reupholstered recently by Total Trim S.W. in Plymouth.
First rate job done by Paul Solomon, who cleverly replaced the fabric sections that get the wear and tear, while retaining the sections that don't (the backs and side panels you don't really notice)
I'll post some pics, soon ...

Re: Front Fog Light Blanks Replacement

Thanks Simon,
You make a fair point to consider.
Now thinking of fabricating acrylic blanks, getting some sticky back vinyl from a sign writers (either the colour of the bodywork or the colour of the bumper) to cover the acrylic surface facing out, and sandwiching a sheet of black grille mesh in ...

Re: Front Fog Light Blanks Replacement

Thanks for the replies.
Like the idea Helen, I hadn't thought of that. Could be an easier option, with good results.
p.s. I'll be visiting a mutual friend tomorrow and will make enquiries for you

Front Fog Light Blanks Replacement

I've had some unsightly front fog lights removed, thinking that I could easily pick up a pair of the bumper trim blanks, that must have been removed to fit the lights.
Have now discovered that the blanks were cut away from several points around the aperture, which seems fairly irreversible #-o #-o ...

Re: Rear folding seats

Thanks for the info fellas.
Having found a photo of the seat fixing points, fully revealed with all internal trim removed, it doesn't look too demanding a job for a welder, if I can get the parts. I'm going to try finding a breakers that can supply some suitable trim panels and the fixing points ...

Thanks for the info, that's a shame.
I don't suppose a breakers will have those fixing points on their shelves :(

Rear folding seats

Hi,
I'm looking at buying a bongo that has a rear sliding bench seat, which I'd like to remove and fit the rear folding seats from the bongo I own now.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible? I'm wondering if the folding seat fixing points are hidden under the interior trim in the bongos with rear ...
