Re: Undertray bolt size

As Bob says, you dont need an undertray fitted for the MOTT, in actual fact you could get an advisory for it being fitted.

Re: BM715 Auto Box

Sounds like the throttle position sensor is faulty or out of adjustment, personally I would return to the supplier/fitter.

Re: Vibration at 30mph

Garage phoned yesterday to say that the universal joints supplied do not fit, looking online and speaking to various suppliers, they all say the ones I have should fit, did Mazda ever fit a different prop shaft at any point, the caps on the supplied ones are 26.5 mm diameter but the ones fitted on ...

Re: How can I protect my new exhaust/catalytic converter from being stolen again??

If they want it they will take it, they might even leave the cat and take the van. Probably the best solution would be to camouflage the cat to make it look like a resonator..

Re: Temperature Sender Unit install

There are two sensors, one drives the display gauge alone and the other drives the ECU. If the display is acting up then obviously its that sensor that needs attention but you might be getting confused as they are in close proximity on the 2l! 18-510 (two wire sensor) is the ECU and 18-840C drives ...

Does anyone know what temperature sensor the solenoids act off?

Re: Distributor Cap 2.5V6 O ring

In the meantime you could run a bead of silicone round the O ring seat then refit cap when the silicone has set.

Re: Bongo Petrol Probs

I previously owned a beautiful 2001 2.0ltr petrol bongo and loved it but my bug bear was its fuel efficiency, around town I too would only get around 22mph and on a run maybe 30 if I was lucky. It's a heavy vehicle and in my opinion has an under powered engine for the vehicle. Adopt the mentality o...

Re: Bongo Petrol Probs

This should give you an idea of the gear/speed ratio.

Gear Ratios
(mph/2000rpm) for each
gear.
1st – 11.2MPH
2nd – 20.4MPH
3rd – 32.0MPH
4th – 50.3MPH

I dont think your garage will have much trouble finding this excess fuel consumption .

Re: New Bongo

Those advisories realy dont tell you anything whatsoever other than it has slight corrosion , you would be very hard pushed to find one of these old tubs without slight corrosion. The price is the asking price that looks rather inflated (without seeing the vehicle) probably very negotiable, my advic...
