Thanks for the reply.
All noted re wire rating from from box to my inline fuse.
Thought it would work but didn't realise that.

Circuit swap looms and maintaining permanent and switched live.
I am about to fit a circuit swap loom. The cabin fuse box will be fed from the lb at the lower positions of fuses 1 and 8. Up until now I have been using a permanent and switched live from these positions. Can I continue to use the feed of the upper positions of fuses 1 and 8 using a suitable insula...

Thanks for the comments.
Not knowledgeable in this area hence the question.
Have 400 mile trip in a couple of days, so will plug it in
and see how it goes, and report back.

Tanglefoot Once again thanks for the info. You have covered what I needed to know and I am sure it will help me on other projects too, plus others who read this. With regards to tools you have to buy the best you can afford otherwise false economy. Your crimping tool fell apart, mine wasn't much bet...

Re: Aldi Adventuridge cool box
Morning rich. I have a similar cool box, but after reading up I decided not to use the rear socket for the above reason. I fitted an auxiliary fuse box (fits neatly behind the glovebox) off the LB and plug everything into that using suitably rated wiring. My side conversion had a space on the tall ...

Thanks for the reply, I had something in the back of my mind about the "small" wiring.
I will be fitting a leisure battery in the next couple of weeks so I will incorporate something similar.

Aldi Adventuridge cool box
I recently purchased the Aldi cool box and very happy with it. (£40 and 3 year warranty). So far I have run it on mains voltage at home, stuck it in the bongo and then connected up to an ehu when I have arrived. The quoted power rating is 47 watts at 12vdc and I propose to use the rear 12v auxiliary ...

Drivers side plastic door step
Before I start tugging away at it, am I right in
thinking the drivers plastic door step just pulls
out (no screws or similar holding it in place).
Thanks for any comments.

Draught skirt
Just had our first camping trip using our Cayman Movelite awning and really enjoyed it. It was quite windy and the awning did well. However it was quite gusty from underneath the Bongo and I have been looking for a draft skirt. Have seen plenty for the VW's but nothing for Bongo's. Is there a suitab...

Re: Drive Away Awning
You don't generally need a kador strip as you can normally clip the figure of 8 strips over the gutter without needing to slide the bead in and out. Simon I was about to ask the same question. Just so I have it right in my head - leave the figure 8 attached to awning and unclip from gutter. Is it b...

Thule 951 foot pack
Hi, has any one used or know if the Thule 951 foot pack (square rail) fit the tin top? They are gutter rail fitting and I believe bars fit 150mm above gutter rail. I could find info from the Thule site.

Re: Engine misfire V6
I am happy to say I think I have sorted the problem. With the leads that have the straight rubber caps I have managed to ease the caps back but cannot do this with the right angled ones. I removed the distributor cap and leads. This time I fitted the leads to the cap before fixing the cap. This way ...
