Re: Overheating (again... sorry...) advice
From the sounds of it its either the plastic/metal seam along the top of the rad or the top hose has popped. Unless the standard Mazda temp gauge has been modded to read a little more realistically then chances are damage has already hit the head gasket or damaged the head I'm afraid. Hopefully you ...

Re: Errr......dunno.
I'm watching this with interest as mine has the same symptoms but I run on mostly Shell V-Power diesel.
My local spanner monkey has tested glow plugs & feed and all seems well but thinks worn injectors or a tired fuel pump may be the cause.

Re: mason alarm
No two Bongos will be set up the same. All run within different paramaters depending on the state of the cooling system, how much crud is in the radiator, which type of stat fitted . . . The list goes on. Mine used to be happy at 5 until a new radiator was fitted. 4 seems about right now but start y...

I agree with Julian.
Its not a bad idea to print out the Members Area Factsheet on bleeding & keeping it in the glovebox along with a link to the You Tube videos as a precaution to avert the enthusiasm of those who should know better.

None at all, possibly slightly lighter steering but thats about it.
I may well have to amend that in wintertime once the snow sets in though.

Re: Gearbox Kaput.
Thought I'd put this one to bed as all is now well. A 2WD gearbox was sourced for £45 thanks to the magnificent of the BF Support Group Here . It involved a little work to change a couple of parts from my old 4WD box to make it fit & work properly but 2000 miles on, the end result has been a mag...

Re: Low Coolant Alarm
Nothing will cover you for any mishap - there are just too many variables but, as Kirsty says, most outcomes can be at least guided by a LCA & a modded or Mason'd guage.
The TM2 does a great job but the 1st option is a budget choice.

Re: Mph converter has come loose
Good point but chipped speedos often cause other problems as well. Someone will be along to help with the wiring issue before long but stick a GA5R on your Round Tuit list all the same.

Re: Mph converter has come loose
Can't help with the wiring but have a trawl around breakers/ebay for a pre '98 626 or MX6 speedo. They are a straight fit, read in MPH and clock in miles. Look for GA5R stamped in white at the bottom of the face.
Should be less than a tenner & saves a fair bit of hassle.

Sound like a No Hoper situation. Bite the bullet, get it fixed & stick in in the file marked " Remember Not To Supply My Own Parts Next Time"
Bin there. Done that.
