Re: Roof will not raise
Hi, Referring to the manual, always a last resort, I see that there are another 6Nr 10mm bolts that live the other side of the black metal frame. So, the million dollar question, has anyone got any ideas how you access these if they need to be undone to lift the roof. Any suggestions gratefully rec...

Re: Red squirrell in aug roll call
Good to see you all and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to Gordon for the bulb and fig 8 strip and also many thanks for all the help with our roof failure. We've just arrived home without further incident. Will post details of the fix, if I work out how to DIY it. Who knows next meet we may ...

Re: How to remove front windscreen washer nozzles on bonnet?
Thanks again. It's fairly easy when you know what to try! I couldn't find any other posts on this so in case anyone searches how to do this: 1) The points you need to pinch are at the front and back. 2) You definitely need needle nose pliers. The long narrow ones I tried first couldn't do the job. 3...

Thanks both. I'll get a torch and pliers out and have a try tonight if it's not too wet.

How to remove front windscreen washer nozzles on bonnet?
Does anybody know how to remove these?
I've tried twisting and pushing them with as much force as I feel comfortable without knowing the correct direction they are meant to move.
Thanks.

A second vote for Glen Brittle on Skye and some great pics and recommendations from Muz. His pic of Uig though somehow fails to capture the beach. You can park within a yard of this...

Re: Leisure battery ammeter question
This will only connect the LB to the SB once the voltage of the SB gets to around 13.5V+ i.e. fully charged. Once the engine is running the alternator will provide ~14V to the starter battery thus opening a VSR regardless of the charge state of either battery. The VSR just uses a different method t...

Re: Leisure battery ammeter question
Any point adding a diode to only let power flow to the L/B, or is it a non-issue? It doesn't sound like you intend to, but don't add a diode. As well as the points g8dhe makes, the voltage drop across it will impact the charging effectiveness. It's pretty cheap and easy to replace the LB charging c...

Re: help, very sick bongo
Sorry to hear of your woes. We got our Bongo's manual gearbox fixed at Strathclyde Gearbox Services in Rutherglen. I felt it was expensive, but they were professional and were true to their word regarding time scales and prices. I doubt they will be able to help with your auto problem (perhaps that'...

Any Tips for Islay?
Hi,
We're off to Islay soon. Does anyone have any tips for camping spots other than Port Mor, Kintra Farm and wild camping at the head of Loch Indaal?
Thanks,
David.

Yes to be fair, the LCA doesn't need its own fuse, It is just a neat accessible way of getting a feed in the right area IMO. The main advantage is if your whatever fails and blows its fuse, your coolant alarm is still supplied on its own way. Apologies - on re-reading you were recommending that the...
