Re: Stewby's 2014 Travels...

Great pictures! As for keeping warm on a budget. Get a decent sleeping bag and wear a hat and socks in bed. Make sure you don't get cold sitting about in the evenings, so for the moment I would suggest star jumps before bed time (after the wedding there will of course be other options available to y...

Re: Team Muz Scotland tour 2013

The Scots are really tight Muz. I would have thought that your picture would be worth at least a free crossing on one of the routes. Tony Not all Scots are tight Tony. I remember lending a friend of min £5.00 at 4.45 on 5th May 1992, and lost sight of it twice before getting it back at 4.53...........

Re: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Dicksons of Perth import Bongos (or used to) they may be worth a try. Failing that I can highly recommend Campers Scotland. Worth the trek! ;)

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Cheers

Re: Advice on DIY paint work?

Thanks for the replies folks. I will try a decent polish first, and if that does not do the job will apply a clear top coat.

:D

All the best

David.

Advice on DIY paint work?

Hi Folks I wonder if I could pick the brains of any body shop guru types out there? I have repaired a few blisters in the paint around the rear arches, and a couple of stone chips and rust at panel seams. All looks fine, and will hopefully keep us going a while longer without major surgery. Although...

Re: EuroTunnel Category

What Scanner said +1. You need to book it as a car over 1.85m high. No need to confuse the issue further than that. (although I agree it's not intuitive when you book it online) Now get saving your Tesco club points...... (its the only redeeming thing about using Tesco) :D

Re: Air Flow Sensor, 2L petrol.

The company the garage used was in Glasgow, not sure I can remember the name?? AVA leisure could also get the work done via a company they use down south. It may in deed be a common fault as the vans get older, although ours is fairly youth full in bongo terms being a 2003. Nice to have it back on t...

Re: Air Flow Sensor, 2L petrol.

Wey-Hey \:D/ finally got the van back today, and all appears well. Distributor refurbished and re-fitted. Great service from Campers Scotland up at Grangemouth, very efficient and friendly to deal with, keeping us informed each step of the way. =D> Thanks!!

Cheers

Re: Air Flow Sensor, 2L petrol.

Finally I think we have got to the bottom of it. [-o< The other garage have confirmed the fault lies with the distributor! (not the cap or leads but the actual distributor) They have swapped out with another van they have in stock, so are confident that this is the case. I ran this past our local me...

Re: Air Flow Sensor, 2L petrol.

Thanks for that. I think reading another thread, this fellow would do the job. (AUTEL-MaxiScan-MS309-Code-Scanner) I will take it to the other garage on Monday and have a chat with them before getting one. Our mechanic here is happy to chat over what he has tried with the other garage, and the other...

Re: Air Flow Sensor, 2L petrol.

Update. Just got the van back from the garage today. Still not sorted, but with a fresh MOT (clean pass with no advisories and emmisions 'spot on') we have booked the van in to another garage next week, so hopefully resolve the problem with a fresh set of minds... [-o< I'm glad to have it back in th...

Re: Jump starting a Bongo

Weird, was sure I posted but it's not showing. I had this problem and faulty old jump leads proved to be the problem, even though they looked fine. A new set of heavy duty ones and all was ok.   It is showing.... but just how much relevance it has to changing a rad I'm not sure!!!! ...
