Re: Chinese Lanterns Banned at The Bash

Coincidently - there was a report on BBC Wales X-ray yesterday. Here's a link to I-Player (it won't be available indefinitely) - it's about 22 minutes in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01271cq/XRay_Series_11_Episode_5/ If anyone has difficult with the Welsh accents - let me know and I'll tr...

Re: Chinese Lanterns Banned at The Bash

Looking thru google reports, they all seem to be reports of the possible dangers, rather than first hand reports of actual deaths, fires etc.- OK I quickly gave up after the first half dozen reports, but has anybody got a FIRST HAND report rather than third hand reports ? This happened just down th...

Re: Tail gate lift

I've used SGS, and they are quick to turn the work around, and a lot cheaper than new. One thing I noticed, though, was that I could probably have just had one side uprated. With a stainless steel ladder, and two uprated struts, it flies up maybe a bit too quick.... SD I agree how quick the...

Re: Tail gate lift

I noticed when you were parked next to me in Wales the other weekend that you were using a pole to hold the tailgate up, NOT SAFE. [-X A cheap solution to save the kids from getting hurt. =D> Thanks Dave That was the first (and only) time we went camping with the tail gate like that. After doing th...

Re: Tail gate lift

How much for the new struts ? £151.54! Expensive I know - a re-gas of the original struts would have been £50 - but having camped with the tail gate propped up with a pole, and knowing how my kids run about not looking where they're going, all it takes is that pole to get knocked by one of ...

Re: Tail gate lift

Had my new gas struts back today from SGS and just re-fitted them. Problem sorted. The tail gate now stays put with the bike rack still attached. :D (minus bikes obviously!) I had to go for new struts in the end, as my original ones weren't up to a re-gas apparently! A few pics: http://i671.p...

Re: SOUTH WALES/CARDIFF MECHANIC ???

There are a few South Wales garages in the 'Bongo Friendly Garages' list in the Members Section of the Bongo Fury site.
Look under Databases & Downloads.

Re: Need a new exhaust

Well I paid a visit to MIJ in Walsall today and got a new Stainless Steel exhaust fitted. Well chuffed with it! :D I went for the midsport setup, which "gives the best of both worlds - a non intrusive yet sporty note." :P The neighbours certainly noticed when I arrived back tonight! ...
