Re: lesson learned then forgotten

it would be interesting if mountain could butcher his old rad(get his own back a bit,and remove some of that anger) before cleaning it out,on my rad i noticed that the heavy solids were removed with flush, but this left a (lacquer)on the hot spots possible burnt on,have seen similar effect on some st...

Re: ATF/ Gearbox oil

the reason i sing about dm is that it has good protection from cold and fast warm up times and 100.000km service interval/change. cannot see those qualities in millars blurb about sp111. give millars a ring they are really good at the advice thing, and wont sell you something you dont need.in the men...

Re: It's only gone and blown the hose off!

any new rad is going to help, but just feel that there is something else going on.the stuff i tried to shift from the rad is dam near bullet proof.as we all know you have dam near rebuilt the cooling side, what about the inner water channels of the block/head.

Re: It's only gone and blown the hose off!

im fairly sure ive heard you remove the matrix from the nearside cubbybox, and its not as bad a job as you think, but im with you try to clear it in situ,i would probably remove the original flow/return pipes, put on some replacment pieces 3 foot long, then try a dilute castic/water mix.dont leave it in...

Re: Wheel Shake over 60mph! I have had wheels balanced though.

pick a quiet piece of road, get up to wobble speed and gently apply the brakes,if it can be felt through the peddle it is likely to point to warpped discs as you say the wheels have been balanced.it could also be dirt behind the disc holding it off its mount, running out of true, remove and clean.

Re: coolant - how much, what mixture

holds 13/14litres i think, but doing a coolant change you will prob only drain out 9/10 litres out
i do 50/50 mix so you will need just over 1x5litre antifreeze and keep the rest for compatible top up mixing.

Re: Coolant leak Crisis!

if you have bled it correctly the following should happen depending on the method your using, use the throttle to empty the funnel held at header tank height, before the funnel empties come off the throttle and dip the funnel to refil and expell air, continue until temp rises to stat open temp, when st...
