Re: Driving in France - Definitive List of Requirements
The same applies for TomTom there is a quick update that removes all traces of French speed cameras.

Re: Coolant temperature
Why would you want to do that when its already built into the ECU and the fans (assuming your diesel ) have two speeds anyway ?

Re: Radiator fans not working
I wonder if the new Mazda sensor is faulty, if you have a multi-meter might be worth checking that it has the correct resistance see this thread http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=48872&p=532315&hilit=temp+resistance#p532315 , you could also check the sensor that ...

Re: Intermittent blower...
Sort of sounds like the evaporator (61-J10) is freezing up, I wonder if its partially blocked with crud, that gets wet when cooled down and then freezes cutting of the cold air flow, then warms up again and all works for a while ? http://lushprojects.com/bongopartsmk2/code=6150A&cat=a2ajra0a&...

Re: Leisure battery query from a non techie!
Hum, difficult to suggest what to do, it obviously has not been completely fixed yet ! The minimum you can do is put the Starter battery on a mains charger for at lest 48 hours to give it a decent charge, then repeat for the L/B. That will at least allow you to start a few times, and provided you ha...

Re: Electrical Problem
I then removed the white wire from the connector block and connected an earth instead and the engine now cranks over. For some reason there is voltage coming up the white wire which should be an earth for the yellow ignition switch wire. I'm guessing that it’s coming from the ECU and I can only thi...

Re: Electrical Problem
Hi No its not the right diagram I didn't translate the "N" to a year, but the switch is an option on the manual/automatic, but yes the one you pulled up is the right one! However I would still suspect that IG1 connection as you have changed the switch itself as the first likely point! Afte...

Re: Electrical Problem
I also took the cover off of the relay on the left of the battery, the one closest to the front, as i was wondering if it was broken. i pushed the contacts together manually and the starter turned over. That suggests that the starter is OK (although the Starter contacts can sometimes be intermitten...

Re: Strange Electrical Fault-Temp Gauge
If you have a meter I would start by checking the state of your battery, if that isn't low then it sounds like you have a high resistance somewhere in the wiring affecting the meter etc. It doesn't sound promising that the AFT light is flashing either, I'm not aware that that is a common problem at ...

Re: heater temp not working?
Yup agree, the front panel is loose from the board with the display and some of the switches on it hence the no-op in some cases.

You can put the Black lead of your meter on almost any metal chassis point and that will be earth.

Re: heater temp not working?
The temperature display didn't seem to change when you hit the Temp Up/Dwn buttons so it might be internal, but if your friend has had the unit out then .... to be honest anything could be wrong but I would check that the plug is in properly at the rear as a starter for 10! Then find out why the fro...

Re: Fuel cap problem
Doesn't tell you anything about the vent in the Cap however ! Just that the only path for air to get in to replace the used fuel is via the Cap vent of course which is where we came in about 20 messages ago!
