Cuts Out When Selecting Drive
This received from member Rob from Wiltshire. He has a diesel automatic. Odd one this morning, started OK, reversed, then when put into drive revs dropped and kept cutting out. Eventually got the revs up and seemed to run OK when driven around the block. No warning light, no unusual noises. Any idea...

As an aside I'm editing this post because it's an AFT query NOT an Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) query. Makes it easier for searching in future.

Driving Other Vehicles: Computer Says No
One of our members, who is insured with Admiral, was always covered on her Bongo insurance to drive other people's vehicles. But this has now been withdrawn from her cover. When she asked why she was told it was because her Bongo was a non-standard vehicle so therefore it was too risky for her to dr...

Re: Quarter light glass
There's an easier way of breaking in to a Bongo but I won't post it on here! The quarter light glass size is the same for all models of Bongo but the tints may be different. You should be able to obtain one from a specialist Bongo breakers but I suspect you will have to visit them as glass can not b...

Looks like this is not a Bongo Friendee, it is an E2000 Bongo. Different vehicle, different fault codes. What's the chassis number?

Alternator Failed
Asking on behalf of John from Leeds who has a diesel Bongo. His alternator has failed completely and a garage 1 mile away have said they will install a new one. But is it safe (or even possible) to fire up the Bongo and drive the 1 mile to the garage? With even my limited mechanical knowledge I know...
