Re: Damage to sill?
Ouch! I've just been doing some work in the same area on my van and I think there is a chance the rear heater unit could also be damaged as it sits just behind that panel. Take a look under the side of the van and check you haven't lost any coolant or disturbed the air-con pipework. The outer skin ...

Damage to sill?
Not as frightening as paulv's wife's incident today (mine was my own fault), but I've done some damage to my van. I was parked next to the trolley park in a car park and despite climbing out and back in via the passenger door, when pulling away, the barrier was below my line of sight and all I saw w...

Re: Update September meet Scotland
I can confirm that rubbing Carounn on your arms doesn't help (I didn't have anything else, and remembered hearing years ago that Gin worked!) However, drinking lots of it does help - in so much as you don't care that the little 'darlings' are ripping the flesh off you. Also worth starting your dail...

Re: Inlet manifold leak
I may have a similar issue - small amount of oil has pooled in the right hand couple of glow plug wells. Don't know enough to confirm the cause, though.
[Edit] and the right hand side of the engine there just all looks a bit wet/manky.

Don't let a drill bit go anywhere near the fabric covering of the interior roof trim. I learned this the hard way. D'oh!!

Smidge is an absolute must!!!! It works! Also if you do book, p.m. me your booking reference as I am phoning head office with the references numbers I have received so far so that we can all be placed close together. Chrissy I've been advised that if we can, ask for the pitches to be at the 'top en...

And remarkably handsome, too! (He paid me to say that...)friedoutbongo wrote:For those of you who don't know Bill, I'd thoroughly recommend him for any work relating to Bongos. He's an enthusiast and a lovely guy, and nothing is too much trouble.
Chuffed for you, Colin. Nice to meet you at Bill's yesterday.

Re: ECU information required
Hi, I've just sat and read through this thread (despite OH trying to get me to start packing away all the camping stuff), and having had similar thoughts myself on deconstructing the ECU I will a) read it again, and b) spend some time seeing where I can get to playing catch-up. I'm well impressed wi...

Re: auto change down....is this normal?
I had a feeling that my '96 4x4 was changing down under load with too little pressure on the pedal (ie not giving enough low-rev torque before changing down). I loosened and rotated the TPS by a few degrees, but didn't actually test it for voltage first. I have seen an improvement. Still get kick-do...
