Re: Crabbing competition at Looe

We in the East have the British Crabbing Championship in Walberswick each year. It gets very crowded but is a lot of fun 8) I like the high-tech tackle used, such as a piece of bacon tied to a length of string - it actually works

No is your simple answer. If you search the forum for OBD11, you will find a few threads 8)

Don't know about Brittany, but lots of French sites in the south, close at the end of September.

Bookings are always by phone for club meets (see http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... tm#rallies) - presumably it's easier to manage the numbers booked 8)

Think you can use break fluid or something aswell
If it don't work you can flush it out when new seals are fitted
I'd go with the Lucas stuff
Does come in different size bottles
No - it's Dexron 3 Auto transmission fluid, NOT brake fluid.

Those tyres are 2.72% larger than standard, so will affect your speedo's reading. However, I have not found any tyres, of that size, that have a load rating of more than 95, whereas the Bongo requires a minimum limit of 96 on the rear wheels. Also, they would give a very hard ride :(

Waeco compressor fridges are excellent, but expensive. I have never seen a fridge that would be small enough to slide under your seat.

They want a cheque with an address on the back. Don't think i have a cheque book and dont think i want my name, address and bank details sent off to a stranger in the post. It's never been a problem with them Baz - it's just so they can trace payments if anything goes wrong. If you still want to go...

You have a non-standard radiator fitted. Standard radiator doesn't have an overflow.

I should be there, but not in a Bongo.
Advanced booking via http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/dis ... Position=1 is a bit cheaper 8)

Re: changing to motor caravan for insurance purposes

That's interesting. It shows at least 2 Bongo rear conversions sold by Imperial & I'd be surprised if they would not have had the vehicles registered as a motor caravan. My van was originally from Imperial with a front conversion retaining the standard front-facing bench seat & the V5 shows...
