Re: Another MOT passed and hello to old friends
Hi Mike Well done to Mango Bongo on the fresh medical certificate. :D Ours is currently with Bongo Spares for a bit more than the usual MoT welding, but heβs worth it. Hope Trish is well. Bob and Sue Great to hear from you Bob (and to read all the other replies) and to hear that Bongy is cherished ...

Another MOT passed and hello to old friends
I don't post much on BF these days but thought I'd say hi to old friends and let them know I still have my beloved old Bongo and that it has just passed its 16th MOT in my ownership after its usual annual welding holiday. In all the years I've had it, it's never broken down or failed to start except...

Re: Just another 800 mile trip......
Great to hear from you and to see you're both still on BF Bob and Muz, though I had to sit down and reach for the smelling salts when Muz said he'd just done significant miles......not in a Bongo. Are you now Bongoless Muz? Mine just keeps on trucking and I can't get my head around life without it. ...

Just another 800 mile trip......
......and this years reason I missed the Bongo Bash. Just breezed around an 800 mile UK trip in the Bongo. Every time now, for 16 years, she has just started at the turn of a key and set off uncomplainingly to do what's required (in this case, ferrying my model aircraft air force to a 70th year rend...

Re: Letter to Mazda
Well done Ian. It'll be interesting to see what reply Mazda send. I wrote enthusiastically to Mazda about 15 years ago to suggest the Bongo could have iconic value to their brand rather as the Type 2 and Beetle did for VW many years ago. Never heard anything back from them. Strange how it takes a gr...

Re: Helen Green RIP
I came onto the forum today just to apologise for being such an infrequent visitor these days. I am shocked and saddened to read of Helen's passing - I had no idea and had corresponded with her only recently (I think, my memory is not good!) on 'the other Bongo comms channel'. Helen was an absolute ...

Re: Roll of Honour
I think Geoff should be given the Lifetime Award for Services to Bongoship. Well done again Geoff - thoroughly well deserved.

Could the disturbing of anything electrical cause issues. Throttle Position Sensor for example. Maybe Allan Bugg could give a view?
