Re: Wires for indicators

The wires are bound together in "looms" (you don't want to touch them there)! However they breakout of the looms at various connectors around the vehicle, in the case of the indicators they come out to a plug under the dashboard on the passenger side footwell before going into the flasher ...

Re: Wires for indicators

The indicators are just a pulsed 12 volt feed to the indicator lamps, so just need to pickup the two feeds.

Re: 2.5 V6 Petrol auto won't start when it's wet or cold

You could use a bottle with a water spray to spray each area and see if anything fails ?

Re: 2.5 V6 Petrol auto won't start when it's wet or cold

Most likely area is the distributor cap itself, then the leads to each spark plug and the king lead to the actual HT generator, these are the parts that are likely to get moist and allow the spark to jump to earth rather than reach the spark plugs themselves.

Re: Loud knocking noise

Yes most people fit the rear size of tyre all the way round that way your spare should also fit any wheel! The different smaller width tyre used on the front reduces stress on the steering system, but no one has ever reported problems when using the same size all around, makes life a lot simpler as ...

Re: ABS light on

Usually the wheel sensors are either a connector that has leaked water in, try unplugging the intermediate connector, cleaning and WD40 into both sides before reconnecting, otherwise it maybe a damaged sensor coil itself.
The other as it implies will be within the controller module.

Re: Couple of questions

Your aware that the eye level vents won't blow hot air - to prevent you drying eyes out! The Windscreen and footwell vents are where hot air comes out. The front eye level vents will blow but never very hot air! The other possibility is that the cooling matrix at the front that handles the incoming ...

Most of the dealers will have them see below; These companies do a range of spares, not all will have everything so try them all; For smaller parts its probably best to ring companies as not all the smaller parts make it on to the web sites! Re: Anyone know what this is??

Scavenger fan should only come on if the engine compartment as a whole gets hot, normally when your in a static queue and there is no airflow, distance alone shouldn't be a reason.

Re: Fix or scrap?

Problem with scrapping is that your going to get well less than a £1000, most people seem to expect no more than a few hundred. However you will likely need to spend 1-2 thousand to get it to the point where it will be worth several thousand and this will take time and effort which may not be viable...

Re: Fix or scrap?

I agree with Bob here, there are so many factors involved that giving any advice is going to miss something that is critical/important to you. All you can do is get the best estimates for repair and allow a contingency, ring around for cost/payment on breakers and your own time and effort, then comp...

Re: Anyone know what this is??

The scavenger fan has its own sensor positioned under the handbrake poking into the engine compartment and feeds into the ECU.

Re: Loud knocking noise

The wheels your looking for bulges on the inside normally unseen side. The propshaft has various universal junctions and supports that can break, if you search on propshaft there have been a couple of recent reports which have included pictures of the problems one here https://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/...

Re: Loud knocking noise

Welcome aboard!
Probably worth taking a good look around the wheels especially the back side and prop shafts, you don't say if its related to road speed or engine speed, but most probably road speed I guess. There have been several reports of late of the prop shaft fittings and supports breaking.
