Re: leaky freda

Good to hear your problems have been sorted and it wasn't a diff problem. =D> My hubby has his uses. After he spoke to you, Allan had another phone call from a garage that had taken a bongo in Part EXchange. It was stuck on their ramp and wouldn't drive. It had been booked in with Allan 10 da...

Re: leaky freda

Blanking the EGR will stop the leak at the top, if it's EGR related. It's easier to tell what's leaking with a photo, :) but it now sounds as though the other leak (at the bottom) is from the head gasket, lots of bongos have a slight oil leak there and they don't worry about it.

Re: Stuck Side Door

take the inner panel off the door and try to click the micro switchwhich will reset it or pull the cable in side the door to release the catch which again may breath life back into the mechanism
That's what we had to do, it's a pain. :)

Here's the link to Bongo recall advice on the 'dog and lemon' website. It's a handy site, they have recall advice for many different vehicles.

I like that it's made of tough plastic, it's much easier to scrub clean when it's out.

Rabbitsquasher, what you're describing is fairly common - all the EGR info you're likely to need is on this link.

Re: central locking part

We tried to get one of these before and could only get it with a lock, which isn't cheap! But you can get a universal solenoid, which bolts to the door and the bar bolts to the bit that goes up and down. An auto electrician should be able to sell one to you - some of the universal ones have a couple...

Re: What tyre valves?

If your tyre fitter said that, then he might have meant that the hole (that accomodates the steel valve) in the wheel is smaller than a standard valve hole. I think replacement steel valves can be ordered through an alloy wheel outlet, but can take a while to track down.

Re: SPEEDOMETER- CONVERSION

Do you mean you've fitted a speedo face over the old one, without removing it? I think a couple of people may done this, but it's better if you take the old speedo face off.

Seems it was lucky (?) to get through an MOT 10 months ago
And surprising it hasn't been spotted during a service. :o
