Alternators New Shape vs Old Shape

My local scrappy has a later shape bongo that they are breaking, does anyone know if the alternator will fit my older shape Bongo, they are both diesels but I think the breaker is a 2ltr not the 2.5ltr

Re: another hot one

the alarm is set pretty low, I can get it to go off just climbing a steep hill so it does seem like something that has come on quickly. The rad is pretty new and the fluid seems clean so I don't think it's a sludge build up that is blocking it (Maybe). It's booked in to my local bongo friendly garag...

another hot one

This morning on the way to work my temperature mason alarm went off, I looked down to see the gauge creeping up to the dreaded "H" mark. As I was nearly there I carried on until I parked up at work, left the engine running etc for some reason it has gotten hot, fans on but the bottom hose ...

not astra lights but I have just seen these on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181533714736? ... EBIDX%3AIT
apparently they are t4 lights, I'm not sure which or how much work it would be to fit but they do look pretty good

Re: RX8 Steering wheel

I'm having a few problems installing on the old shape bongo. The wheel fits the splines fine and feel much better than the original wheel, but... The indicator centering bits are at 12 and 6oclock on one wheel and 3 and 9oclock on the other wheel, I'm pretty sure I can sort this by carefully drillin...

Re: Steering wheel swap Horn problems

looking at it again I think I would need the clockspring, I'm going to have to jimmy something to make the horn work or try and get my hands on one

Re: Steering wheel swap Horn problems

the indicator cancelling seems to work fine as it is, straight swap. I didn't need the clockspring because of the no-airbag situation
It feels a lot nicer than the standard 90's plastic one it has to be said....just need to sort the horn :(

Steering wheel swap Horn problems

I did mention this in pimp but I thought here may be a better place to ask... I have swapped my old steering wheel (non-airbag) for an rx8 steering wheel but I can't work out how to make the horn work. I have removed the airbag firing unit but I don't think that is the problem. On both the original ...

Re: RX8 Steering wheel

I had a nardi wheel on my first bongo and that was fine too, different wheels and bosses have different depths (which I didn't realise before). The one I had recently was pretty much unusable the way it was
Saying that the RX8 feels nice, I just need to sort the horn wire :S

Re: RX8 Steering wheel

I went with the easier option of an mx5 momo wheel only to find out it was too shallow and I kept catching my knuckles on the indicator stalks. Instead of getting a new deeper wheel/boss I Sold it to a lad in work and now have an rx8 wheel instead. I've had a quick test fit and all seems well but I ...
